neil your better off going with the 30mm axle it is easy to setup and you dont have to be spot on with the setup.
But we have been getting better times out of the 40mm which is a bit harder to setup and isnt as forgiving when you dont get it right
you also have to drive more aggresively with the 40mm
Hey Luke just wondering, when you say you also have to drive more aggresively with the 40, do you mean coming into the corners do you have to take a bit of a harder stab at the wheel to make the arse end bite? I drove a friends XE-28 with a 40 (I have the GP6 Monaco's equivalent of the XE) and it had alot more entry and mid corner rear grip than what my 30 did but it seemed to sit flat and push fairly hard, i found with my 30 i can come in and (i didn't realise i was doing this until i drove the 40) kind of the sit the kart on the arse and squirt across the corner .... Just wondering because in JNH atm 40's seem the way to go lol?
Thanx a million please get back to us.

hey shaun yes thats what i am saying you need to throw it in alot harder because you dont get as much flex and by throwing it in you get the wheel to lift and hold up around the corner.where the 30m just flexes easily and holds the wheel .This is the reason alot of people dont like running the 40mm.
And yes i also found i do have alot more entry and mid corner speed.

Asking what axle "is the best", is like asking how long is a piece of string. It depends LARGELY on kart and seat setup, and driver preference....
Start with what your kart manual advises to start with, and just test from there :)
