Share Ideas for Keeping Costs under control

We probably all have ideas for keeping karting costs under control so that we can all just enjoy the sport.

Not everyone has a bottomless pit of money, and some of us just want to go out and have a bit of fun, be as competitive as we can with what we've got and be satisfied at maximising the value we get from the sport.

What ideas do you have to share with others on keeping costs restrained?

Draining fuel to store kart upright

Hi everyone I’m new here. I just brought a upright stand for my gokart. Its to be stored vertically with the rear axle on the bottom and front bumper facing upwards. The engine is a KT100S so as I understand it’s just the fuel that needs to be drained. To drain the fuel is it as simple as detaching the fuel line from the tank or from the filter or from the carburettor? or a step further and drain the pulse line that goes from the carburettor to the engine?

The carburettor is a Walbro.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

It seems I mistyped something whilst trying to improve the website and had trouble restoring from backups and needed additional outside assistance.

Sorry for the interruption in service, and I'll try and avoid such mistakes next time.
