besides killing yourself or somebody else i fail to see how this could be of any use probably the reason their no longer for sale
the voltage coming out may be higher than the karts or less , spark intensity is most likely differant , the duty ie rpm is most likely fixed ,its not firing with the plug covered in fuel or oil the plug isnt warm
about the only reason it would be half usefull for is checking to see if the insulation is still sufficient but as above this would change when in use anyway
cheers trev
After being bombarded with people wanting my ZAP SPARK PLUG TESTERS Im doing a small batch. I don't know how many I can make up.?, but will have them ready in about 3 weeks. So if anyone wants one, pre order now. The price will be $220 inc GST inc delivery anywhere in Australia. My new email address is mikeabay@bigpond.com
I stopped making these 3 years ago and in the last 6 months I have been getting an average of about 10 calls a week, hence the decision to make this small batch. I will not make any more after that. You can Google ZAP SPARK PLUG TESTER and see it in action. or ask the people that have them what they think of them?

Sorry Trevor, But tell that to the thousands of people around the world that have them and love them.
Its purely to test new or used spark plugs and set the gap and see the spark arc, of course it wont fire oiled up spark plugs. I have never met anyone that can look at a spark plug and say its a good one by simply looking at it.
Go to any Kart race and see how many people have a pile of used plugs in their tool box just lying around?
Even brand new spark plugs can be faulty. So how many times have you seen Karters on the grid with one of their crew
stand by with a new plug and a spanner ? Look around next time and take a count. Please don't bag something you know nothing about trevor hall said:

I have tried these new ones and they are great. It saves me keeping dud plugs around and the insulated testing ring is an improvement!
Cheers
