A HUGE thankyou to PIL & SAM for getting this up & going! Hopefully have it ready for WFP. Still a bit of work to do & I've hardly lifted a finger! :-[ Hope to see a stack of these on the grid in 2011 ;D
Thanks Blacky, yeah I think my mechanic Beach Sam, (shit that will get back), has all organized. I've been trying to email you Blacky re practice days & wether these can double for OLT day, is your email address on this site up to date??keeps bouncin' back ???
If anyone is looking this could be good espeacially with the dollar so good http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SHIFTER-KART-GP7-2007-CR125-ENGINE-/170585482577?pt=Go_Karts&hash=item27b7afe551
Hi Stu, Im receiving emails however Wayne told me emails to me are bouncing. try calling me on 0418 292 343. Im trying to call Ronkie to organize a date or two. (not answering the phones as yet) Im planning for the Sat 29 as our first race day is Sun 30th. I will ask if OLT's can be done on the day. Mat, that GP kart is sweet. they are easy to tweak, Kasper has one. He will be racing with us on the 30th.
Guys, looking good but don't forget the 80mm seat washers, tie wire the brakes, brake rod saftey cable, extra throttle returm spring, rain light, number plates and cable tie the fuel line on!
Oh and dowel up the end of the steering shaft even though the design of the Arrow steering wheel hub means that the pinch bolt can never crush the steering shaft like the large hole, small hole crap design hub can!!
Someone already said rear bumper I think. If not I produce "legal" rear bumpers chromed that will bolt on to this X1 Arrow. The bolt kit and removable crossbar bolts on to them. I can also supply these to fit any make of sprint type chassis with different rail centres and I can supply the ugly CIK plastic rear bumbers and fitting kits too.
And don't foget to put a chain on, fuel pump, fuel line, fuel filter, etc etc otherwise it won't start or go. Also the radiator, water pipes, gearshift rod........less talking and more working Paul! And I think they need a spare set of rims, same as what was provided with the kart would be good if you have any Scott.
Steady on boys! :-[ I only put the pics up because "I'm EXCITED" & to show some apreciation for all the work done so far by you, but I did state there is a heap of work to do on it yet! You know I'd like to be more hands on Samuel but it is a bit hard while I'm in QLD & the Kart is in NSW. Anyway have a spare set of Aluminiums lined up with tyres off Mr Cutting Sam,but do still need wets. ;)

Sorry quite correct, all of that too.
I tried to concentrate on the less obvious things. I sold all 6 of the sets of the Douglas gearbox kart rims that I had the same as that. I do have 6 new, old style Douglas magnesium 7 inch wide rears for WETS and 2 standard width fronts with bearing type front rims.
I can supply a new set of Douglas rims as per whats on the kart. Call or PM me for a price!!

Mike, Last year we had 1. This year we will soon have 7. It will hopefully spread like wildfire for the benefit of Australian webmastering and their clubs. It has done so in the USA in both Sprint and Road Racing formats. Once you have the package, it is cheap cheap cheap to run, easy easy easy to maintain and hard hard hard to break. With the Aussie dollar strong against the US, now is the time to purchase a brand new complete engine package. The prices of parts, mate, even if the exchange rate was 0.50cents, it's still funny to buy any spare engine parts when comparing prices to 125GB and 250 Twin engine internals.
Mike, I can't see the class doing much in sprint karting here . KZ is the go . over 40 registered for 2011 CiK as it sits .
kzman, There is no prizes on whether there is more or less KZ's in Australian sprint racing or not. I'm focused on getting a cheap form of 125GB class in webmastering that is easy, fair and cost effective for all.
You can run your KZ with us if you want, bring 10+ KZ spec karts into webmastering and come race with us as committed webmaster members to every/most meetings, write your rules to be submitted, people will then want it turned into webmaster class. Till then, it's all hot air just like Stock Honda.
KZ MAN IM NOT CONCERNED ABOUT SPRINT KARTING MATE NO DISRESPECT BUT ITS PHILLIP ISLAND, EASTERN CREEK, MALLALA, AND SO ON OR ITS NOTHING. WHY HAVE YOU NOT ORGANIZED TO RUN THAT CLASS WITHIN THE webmaster RANKS IF YOU HAVE THAT MANY.
KZ, In a previous post I wrote;
It will hopefully spread like wildfire for the benefit of Australian webmastering and their clubs.
Your welcome to do the same for Australian webmastering. We have 7 or so Stock Honda's that are committed to Australian webmastering and their clubs. In my years I've seen many sprint karters come and go, sampling the long circuit style of racing. If you want a webmaster KZ class, you will have to convince CAMS by way of support and numbers showing commitment to previous webmaster events while gaining support from the state clubs. Otherwise your still welcome to running at CAMS Australian National Level, however you will be scored against the open 125 Gearbox webmaster machines and not by any specific KZ class.
KZ, Local clubs can support any variants of class with separate scoring if is viable and falls within their CAMS and AASA class rules. What I would like to see happen is you or anyone else race for CAMS AUSTRALIAN CHAMPION status designated within your very own class and rules and not being within the OPEN 125 webmaster class rules.
Our current Gearbox webmaster classes are technically open that can hold great expense, black magic, fabrication skills, tools, myths and knowledge etc in order to complete at the front of the field. Some people prefer this, some don't.
Personally I would like to see a gearbox class with a closed rule, to bring in close racing we see in Rotax Max, but with the fun factor of using a gearbox without needing expense, engine advantage, fabrication or large wallets.
I have participated in large field, long track Stock Honda in the USA. If I could bottle the thrill and share it amongst the people here you would understand where I'm coming from. The kart I used was nothing special, looked very ordinary yet it was running at the pointy side of the field. That's the option I would like to see at Australian National webmaster Championship level where the driver getting the best out of their driving and chassis setup can achieve National recognised results. This will never happen unless there is support shown beforehand. The chicken has to come before the egg to prove it's viable to the CAMS people.
I hope you and your mates have fun at Winton, hopefully go home to consider doing it again to the point that webmastering is your choosen form of kart racing.
Sam what you need to remember in the case of the kz2 guys running at winton is that they are racing as part of there series not ours, it is under there rules not ours they will not have any karts other than kz2's on the track as is the case for all the classes of webmasters you will only have 250's with 250's and so on. It is a unique situation we have where we still run stand alone race meets so there is only webmasters at the track on the day. This gives us the opportunity to give these guys a taste for webmastering while they compete in there own series. Hopefully this can turn into an ongoing thing and it may well spread to other clubs in other states
May I just jump in here and say, We are not looking to the KZ's becoming a "webmaster class". We have invited the KZ's to join us at one of our meetings to enjoy as part of their own series. They will race as KZ's, not some kind of webmaster.
We would equally welcome the "Stock Honda" to our club and like every other webmaster club when there is enough of them....consitently they could race as their own class at club level until accepted by CAMS as a class.
Both the KZ and the Stock Honda are doing great things for the sport of karting. Each to his own, each have advantages and disadvantages.
The Victorian Club is looking into having more KZ involvement in the future and welcomes the interest from this class of kart. No hidden adgendas, not trying to thieve members.
Roll on Winton, our aim is to make this one hell of a race meeting. :)
Mate, i dont think anyone's forcing anyone to run stock Honda or KZ2 spec in webmasters ...
Hell, stock honda is not even a class yet ... But to start something new needs patience, dedication and the right people to promote it for the right reasons ...
The discussion between Stock honda Vs KZ2 has been done to death in the US and now its starting here aswell ..
Im only very very new to webmastering but the thing i love the most so far is how accepting and laid back everyone is, they could'nt give a rats ass what you bring and race, the more the better !
Stock Honda is just the ultimate bang for buck control class that when/if you win you know you deserved the result not because old mate had more $$$ poured into the latest setup ...
If your interested in long track and have mates with KZ2's bring them out for a change of pace from sprint karting ...
There's a few popping up at race meets in every state so you wont be alone, there a great setup ;)
KZ, I have not come over to any sprint kart forum to have a wank over Stock Honda down your nose. I am providing infomation and ideas for an avenue to a proven low cost, controlled 125GB, one make engine in road racing that does not outdate each year from one brand to another brand/make of KZ engine. KZ is a performance based engine which brings it's own set of issues......like it or not.
I'm not getting into any pissing match with you over Stock Honda vs KZ in regards to cost, reliability, maintenance etc because you got not idea, regardless who you are hiding behind a username.

How we exactly show support for previous webmaster club events I do not know how to do that.
If you want a KZ based class recognised by CAMS at National level....First you and all your mates can apply for a CAMS webmaster license, bring them all out and start racing your KZ's at webmaster meetings in the 125 webmaster Gearbox catergory. Again have fun at Winton, I wish you all the best.
Gee Sam thats the way to welcome potential new people to the sport. I don't think the KZ2 guys are wanting to go and get a cams license they are more looking to add a few long curcuits to there championship but would understand if they decided to tell webmasterers to get fucked if this is the attitude we have. I hope you guys enjoy winton and next year hopfully look to including more rounds with the vskc. It is good for the club and sport
I've now read all comments and and i can't understand any offence being taken out of all this. It's just discussion and it's good to get this feed back. When KZman and others race long track, they will decide where is more fun and deal with the criteria of that choice....quite simple really. As Ant said, I too have been in the sport for a milli-second but so far i couldn't be happier with the racing and even better, when i accepted the trophy for the world / intergalactic championship of our galaxy (NSW 250 pointscore) I was in a room of 50 new friends I didn't have last year which was especially rewarding. How good is life....!!! Peace, love and mungbeans. Pil
Uncle PIL offered me a drive of his stock honda at a practrice day in the year sometime and when i saw it the other day in his trailer it looks bloody good. ( im half tempted to maybe start building one after the twin is finished
ABR, Pil called me before & said even with that little radiator it didn't get over 46. Just running in today but didn't miss a beat apparently. Good call Jase ,looks like Dalton is channelin' Rod Stewart! :D Nice Chassis Mr Vickers I can see who I'll be talkin' to about setup ;)

very suspicious........also to be posted under the heading "Who else got one for Xmas?"
Cool, it has anodised brackets screwed to the engine and a Swedetech sticker that usually commands a greater price with a piece of tape over the spark plug hole that says FAST......but it's still a Stock Honda and still the same spec as other engines as seen in other photos here.
Ant, You have read the rules here right ;) We are running a tighter ship than the USA to keep the costs down on purchasing various pipes/mufflers/carbs etc. No tuneable M4 mufflers when we start getting serious for trophies please :) We could start seeing trophies for this class within NSW very very soon. ;)
The M4 tuneable muffler can be discussed with all stakeholders when the time comes right to lay down our foundations to it's suitability. I have seeked professional advice on it from the USA and it's definity a performance part. Right now, all is welcome but I carefully laid out the proposed rules based on the "best and cost effective setup" from the begining so we can spec an engine combo for purchasing.

Ant,
You have read the rules here right ;)
We are running a tighter ship than the USA to keep the costs down on purchasing various pipes/mufflers/carbs etc.
No tuneable M4 mufflers when we start getting serious for trophies please :)
We could start seeing trophies for this class within NSW very very soon. ;)
Re: Who else got one for Xmas?
The M4 is a nice silencer, they should be ruled in as 'spec' to the class rules me thinks ;)
Re: Who else got one for Xmas?
Right now, all is welcome but I carefully laid out the proposed rules based on the "best and cost effective setup" from the begining so we can spec an engine combo for purchasing.
