After the controversy from QLD and the Victorian open, all the appeals and stuff that goes on why don't the stewards just film the race to prove if the person in the room is innocent or in fact guilty what do u reckon about this???

you will need a lot of camera's........
Just get the Victorian Government to film it, they film everything else!
Hi, There was a Video Company filming the races at qld championship....
Be like three ref in the football LOL,
the v8's on tv have the steward making decision on the coverage..
Cheers Greg

They didn't even get a slap on the wrist.AMRS nationals ran elsewhere same weekend and CAMS dished out over $30,000 wortht of fines to club racers for things like, jumped starts, passing under yellows etc..
That would have been our old mate Rusty not Ambrose Mal!!!
Yeah this would be a good idea but do we really want karting turning into footy and the stewards always going back to the "video reff" to make a decision on everything
i mean 90% of the time the way it is, the person in the wrong walks out with a slap on the wrist so is the system we have now reeeeeaaaaaalllly that bad?
stewards should keep a better eye on the cut through lol
and if everybody was complaining about the cut through being used i don't get why nobodu put the money up and made a complaint

The new LED lights have cameras inbuilt. When there is a yellow flag it records the previous ten seconds before the yellow flag and hopefully will film the crash if the person in the tower hits the button quick enough. This will be alot easier then officials standing there with cameras filming the race and there will not be enogh stewads to film every spot of the tack. Also the cost of buying the LED lights with the cameras will be alot cheaper then bying LED lights with out the cameras and then having to buy another ten or so cameras. Also there will be people with helmet cams becase they are aloud to have them if they get permision. I got taken out at the Queensland states and it was all caught on a helmet cam, the person pleaded guilty but he got away with it. Why? They did not use the camera evidence and maybe if they had seen the video he would have not gotten off with it. I think wth the LED lights with cameras the officials will be able to make correct decison, not decisions bassed on the comments of wittneses who most off the time do not even see what happened.
Jarred, I was asked to be witness for Clerk of Course in the incident you were taken out at States. Waited around for over half hour for Clerk Course to tell me he pleaded guilty to contact of karts. No witness needed. When getting the paper work ready for sending notice he was found Not Guilty. How does that happen. The karter pleads guilty and is then talked out of the fact he did it?
The camera on Laurens kart was for promo work for the dvd being made of the States. She was following you at the time and clearly shows what we saw. He drove over the back of your kart over your head an down the nassua panel without taking his foot off the fast pedal,.
Why ban these cameras. Everyone we have shown the dvd is really impressed. They have no idea how close or fast the karts are and the camera makes them feel like they are in it.

Yeeaahh okay okay i can see where you're coming from now
Tim O'Reilly said:You shouldn't have to put up $50 as a parent, then get offside with another parent at the track over something as straight forward as taking a short cut and gaining advantage - have a look at the progress of the pink and blue karts on the lapchart attached in the "Cut Thru" discussion thread. Putting up $50 bucks when we've just wrecked a $1000 frame and aren't allowed to restart in the pre-final was the last thing on my mind.
Punt my driver at the last corner when there is a blue plate involved, then i'll put up my $50 - and then get offside with some parents at the track. lol

I really hope that wasn't the selling point for the introduction of these "yellow flag lights".......
