After a lot of swearing, I finally got the stinger out to replace the exhaust matting. However I noticed a the end of the stinger coming apart which I have attached? The motor was bought brand new and has done about 7 hours. Is this normal?

I too have had a stinger only two hours old on a new engine flare apart and break off, really hard to get thet one out. After fitting a new one this one lasted about 15 hours, the last one fitted only lasted 3 hours. Seems the quality control has gone left the building. In the past we would get a lot longer between replacement. The new exhaust pipes themselves seem to be weaker also, had a lot of cracking from new.
So should I replace the stinger? Thanks for the replies so far.
my stinger is also cracked and needs replacing is this an online store where u can purchase a new one?
cheers
replace it.
Be carefull when you buy a replacement I bought one that was out of round and the motor wouldn't rev
IKD is raising there prices so quickly it is beyond a joke
with DPE you could buy a complete exhaust for under $350 last year I payed $400 for one from IKD now I am told they are $500
thanks for the replies. Will pick up a new one asap.
