On a slightly serious note...
Do any of you guys have life insurance, and if so, who through? I've been recently trying to organise it, but apparently karting is too dangerous :\

I know some activities are NOT covered by life insurance, so I suppose we better check eh??? some will require a higher premium, but whilst karting is dangerous I would expect it NOT to negate an insurance policy, but I would expect a policy to charge an appropriate premium for those clients who partake in a dangerous activity REGULARLY, after all its the insurance company that is taking the risk in the end [ financial that is]
An interesting question Kasper
In all honesty it probable is not a good option.
Maybe you could just put money into an investment account, or better still into a superannuation scheme and nominate your benificaries
try a company called Combined Insurance of Australia.
they have insured my family since my dad raced saloon cars back 40 + yrs ago and we are all still insured by them.
Most insurance companies will not cover karting. It is an excluded event.
BUT if you had insurance before you started karting then you are covered while you are karting. If you want to increase the policy then the increased part will be excluded.
The same goes with most income protection insurances. If you are already karting it is excluded but if you start karting after the policy is in place you are covered. The main thing is that when you entered the policy you never intended to kart.
This is what was explained to us when we looked at increasing our insurance cover.
Just ask your insurance broker and they should be able to work out the best insurance comapny for you.
Well im with MLC through NAB.
They have no problems with whatever i race because i was insured before i raced and as long as you maintain your policy contract and payments they cannot take it off you from that point on, no matter what motorsport you wish to participate in. You can also lock in a premium rate until your 65, similar to a loan rate lock.
Just talk to an insurance broker. They will get you sorted. Just be upfront and honest and you will have no probs.
