all yesterday proved was that if you want to win, you better go and buy an X30
Lol, there was 4 in the class. what a joke just imo.
the engines were 2 x30's and 3 j clubby motors. The finish was Thomas Randle, Anton Depaquale, Adrian Lazzaro, Jake Klein and Jake Campana
after my first run at oakleighs club day today, i absoulutley hate this class. tommy randle again dominated with an X30. there were 2 x X30, 1 x leopard rl, 2 x arc water, 1 x yamaha. i was the quickest clubman in the final with a 41.939, while the quickest lap was by tom randle at a 41.339 in the final. So, pretty much if you want to win in this class, you have to have a leopard. I know ill be lookin for one on ebay!
and I wonder why QLD are NOT running the class until the parity is sorted!!!!!!! sadly we already see what many fear one engine dominates forcing others to either leave the class, or buy the gun engine!!!! in the end it becomes a one engine class!!!! sad the AKA should NOT allow the class at major meetings UNTIL parity is sorted. but alas '-(
I wonder how long before we see kgs thrown at the faster engine ? to slow it down?

why not leave jnr clubman alone theres heaps of engines lying around its not a club day class anymore but is still strong at majour events and is good to watch as the engines are not restricted

it'll take some time till they get the parity sorted, so hopefully it won't be in any opens.
but next year or so, it should be pretty even you'd think
Yeah right

Haha, I knew you blokes would jump out of the woodwork!
Okay, so the X30 was too fast, and parity needs to be sorted. Given that there were 5 people racing, I don't think we need to start squealing about how everyone needs to buy the gun engine already. It's hardly sheepstations when five people are racing!
Tell me, how are "they" (whoever "they" are) supposed to figure out the parity, if we don't actually race it to FIND the parity?
If the result is that the X30 was too fast, can't we let "them" know, so that they can keep track of it?
Actually, I'm going to pop on over to Officials Corner right now and ask.
Thanks for the replies :)
Col,
It could have been sorted BEFORE the class was allowed, thats the problem with the AKA they jump in without looking what they are landing on.
keep the class at CLUB level for at LEAST 12 months, and as you asked make each club report what engines raced and their laptime/results with the new computers system this should BE EASY!!!!! THEN act, and when sorted allow into majors.
Allow it into majors and you will stain the class with problems that will take years to fix. NIP it in the bud NOW, QLD are correct to not run the class because of the risk of damage to the sport until its sorted.
Again another thing the AKA have poorly thought about and implemented!!!
