well why would it be a big meet? yeah what ever you still got the idea of it. why would it be big? $1000 worth of prizes is nothing and also no one is goin to be there because of NSW state titles.
If you are going to the NSW states good luck. This is just a race meeting we have tried to put together for the karter that is not going to the states down south . I don't see why you are so opposed to the idea and saying that it is nothing when we are just trying to have a go and run a race meeting with some prizes for the competitors. What is the real problem?? As the person who has organised all the prizes for this you are welcome to contact me Jack's Mum Belinda 0419 688202. This conversation started as a mum asking Jack to post some info on kartbook to help get karters to the meeting on sunday.

The flyer actually says $1000's (plural) not $1000 (singular) in prizes. I have spoken previously to the people organising the event and the prizes sound great, there has been a big effort behind this race meet. We would certainly go to if we were not booked in for NSW. All the Gold Coast race meets we have attended have been really well run, on time and no fuss. Great effort I say!
who says the world has top stop because NSW have a race meeting on???
Good luck to the people behind the grand prix event.
A Succesfull meeting is NOT determined by the numbers it has or the prizes on offer, its how much FUN you have at the meeting!!!!
Sounds like a GREAT event to get to, just think the guns maybe at NSW so here is a chance to get a podium!!!
I was going to race but when I sore the supp regs and the laps were 4 lots of 7 I couldn't be bothered wasting my money. It was a great idea with all the prizes but 28 laps what a joke!
Hi Brooke
Thats a shame you won't be there. It still should be good racing and you are not paying any more than a normal race meeting. You could also win weekend passes to the A1GP on the gold coast, There are great prizes for your class for 1st 2nd and 3rd and Easitune have also put up a fantastic prize for the junior driver of the day if you are feeling up to it. I'm sure your entry fee will be money well spent.

Well, i guess i'm racin =]
Agreed with brooke thought. Laps are shit.
But we've been spoiled with supercheap races =P
I will racing in CH. Trevor will also be racing in O40's.
Looking forward to it.
Regarding the laps, here's some food for thought.
Lets do a comparision:
Toowoomba (for example only) - approx 850m long. Last meeting Seniors had a total of 34 laps @ 0.850km = 28.9km of racing.
Willowbank - Kart Prix if ran on full track - approx 1080m long. 28 laps on offer @ 1.08km = 30.24km of racing.
To me that would mean that the bigger bang for your buck is the Kart Prix. mmmm cake!!!
Some of the best racing I have seen has been when they shorten the laps.
Also Supercheap is a series and had less events and should not be compared to club meetings. These series should be a level above a general club meet = more lap and better quality fields.
