Hi, I race clubman heavy in a 30/30 Black diamond CRG and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on the best type of seat to use (blue or clear tillet, crg white, karttech etc) and positioning.
Height - 175cm
body weight - 77kgs
seat has about 6 kgs of added weight to the sides and underneath (front)

Col's got a great document on the Phoenix site regarding seat positioning, and Arrow's documentation is great as well.
As for seat type, it probably doesn't matter as much as positioning it correctly..
hay mate.
I'm running the CRG black diamond in Clubby light. And I've donee ALOT and ALOT of testing with seats. And for the CRG it is essential that the correct seat is used. Now the CRG white is ok and similar to the Tillett clear however I've found for my body type (about 185cm and lanky) that it doesnt fit properly and does not lay me back enough. Plus I've had trouble with those seats cracking. The Clear and Blue Tillets work extremely well. And changing the rigitity works similar to changing the axle. I've found that the clear works well on smooth, non abrasive surfaces where the kart doesnt need to ride the bumps. And the soft is obviously the opposite.
Currently i have a T12 soft in my kart. Which is flat bottomed and designes for a tall driver. And it is really working well for me. Since I've put it in (Gympie shakewdown) the kart has been hoooked up. It was really fast at the titles, however a bit of my fault and just generally a bad decision, dropped me down a little bit in qualifying. What size seat do you use? because I have too many seats at home that have barely been used? and if you wanted to buy one I can bring one to toowoomba. If your coming?
Regards
Nick
