Hi Guys.
I used to race a few years ago thinking of coming back ,but I noticed the numbers are down every where at the meeting I have been too.
A racer I spoke to told me some clubs are lucky to get 14 karts these days, so whats happened to the sport it used to be booming ?
I'm early 30's 85 kilo so wondering what class to join.
Brian.

Meant to suggest you visit your local club on a club day...best way to determine class sizes and competition levels...
All jokes aside, you should start with your Bank Manager.
The costs are mostly responsible for the decline in participation.
Believe it or not, it was my 14 year old son that told me it is too expensive.
Sadly we no longer do karting.
Based off that description TAG restricted medium would be the entry class for you, and where about's do you live? If your in Melbourne Join GKCV
I am in the same boat as you Brian. When I used to race (back in the 90's!) we always had good numbers.
Went to a club meeting at the weekend and there were 1-2 karts in many classes, the best class was 4-5.
There did seem to be more classes than I remember though....
Downside - Not much "racing"
Upside - Everyone gets a trophy?!
Mega Upside - No one push starts anymore!!!!!!!!
