Competition Licence
A Competition license is a certificate of registration issued by KA to an eligible member or body and which is necessary to enter a Competition.
Competition Licences will be issued to a Competitor and/or a Driver.
- ·If issued to an individual as a 12 Month Drivers Licence, it is valid:
O For a period of twelve (12) months from the date of issue; and
O only when held in conjunction with current membership of an affiliated Club.
Competition Licences will be issued to a Competitor and/or a Driver.
- · If issued to an individual as a Day License, it is valid:
O Until 12:00pm on the day that it is issued; and
O The person to whom it is issued will be deemed to be the holder of a current membership of the affiliated Club that is the Organiser of the Event in which that individual intends to Compete.
So if you get a day license it expires at lunch time?? 12pm = 12noon.
I think they should say "valid for 12hrs"

If it is a 2-day meeting do you need another one for day 2?
In my opinion 12pm is 'midnight'. It is preceded by 9pm, 10pm, 11pm ...'midday' is 12am. It is preceded by 9am, 10am, 11am
Actually that is the reason we have 'midday' & 'midnight' to save confusion.
I expect clubs will create a 'day membership' for a small fee so someone returning to the sport for the odd race can get a day licence for $75, and say one x day club membership for $25.
Sorry Richard, 11.59pm is followed by 12.00am, the commencement of the following day. richard gagie said:

No can't agree Neville. PM means post meridiem or after midday viz. 1pm is 1 hour after midday. 8pm is 8 hours after midday, therefore 12pm is 12 hours after midday, also known as midnight. Neville Scullion said:

Easiest way to do it is 0001 on the following day.

Why not 000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001. Makes just as much sense! David Kerwood said:

As a shift worker 0001 or 1 min past midnight stops the confusion of a 12 o' clock start on the (insert date) Many people have missed shifts because they thought it was a miday start and it was actually a midnight start(DATES ARE SAME IN THIS CASE) With a 0001 the next date can be used./>

Would 1200hrs and 2400hrs help?
Buggered if I know. But when I set a timepiece to 12:00pm, it believes it to be midday.
12pm is midday...and trust me A LOT happens around the world based on that being the case...
