The "Gold Pineapple" perpetual trophy..... I'm looking into purchasing this from OZ Design Nundawading.
This trophy must reside on the coffee table of whoever it is awarded to within the Stock Honda class. It then gets awarded to the next loser at following race meetings.
A loser would be one who generally mouths off prior to the event how he/she will flogg everyone then gets beaten, maybe those who think we are racing in F1 competition on the day and gets beaten or one who just has an unusual comedy of errors at a race meeting to make us laugh.

It will be mounted on nice timber base with a plaque of explanation so your visitors can admire it and know your not always the gun driver you make out.

What do you think.....?

Practice is available on Saturday 13th September before the 2014 Motorsport Zone Superkart Series race day on Sunday 14th. 9.30am - 12pm (usually 12.30 and normally get 3 runs) Cost is $120.00 for the morning session. Must have 10 to have our own practice slot. We have so far;

1. G. Yarrow 125GB
2. D. Lewis 250 Nat
3. R. Jamieson 250 Inter
4. P. Nuske Rotax Light
5. Q. Slabbert Rotax Jnr and SH

Word on the street has it that Mike Wayne is turning up on Sunday, he is reportedly going to try and win the Pineapple Cup without even racing.......could it be possible for another memorable drongo moment in the making this Sunday?

So after my pre race testing, if you beat me tomorrow Jase Mate does that mean I get to take the pineapple back home?

Sam drove an awesome meeting, I had a good run at it in race one but just didn't do the lap one traffic as we'll in the last two. You pushed me nearly a second faster than my previous best Sammy. With all jokes aside I wish I could race you and Dalton every weekend, it would be awesome.

Round 5 of the Motorsport Zone Superkart Series has been run and won. Christy and Tash were a hit all day. Weather was fantastic like always in Queensland. I hope you can turn it on for us next week Rolf. The weather that is.
Was great to have Sam come up for a visit which in turn bought Jason out as well. Very close racing resulting in Jason lowering his own lap record down to 58.2139 seconds. Good effort seeing it was a 59 flat. As for the starter motor on the Sam's Stock Honda, I can see everybody having them in the future no doubt. I am sure if Sam came up a bit more often to promote the Stock Honda cause, the fields up here would grow.
250 Inters both were out after race 1. 250 Nationals were the stars at the front. Tim Weier cleaning up 3 race wins in his Anderson Gas Gas. Great to see Gareth Crisp finally have some reliability in his ADE Rotax 257 to run second to Tim. Not to be outdone, Brooksy is finishing races.
125cc GB ranks are hotting up with Christopher Hays (2012 KZ2 Champ) going well in his Anderson RS125. Look out when this boy turns up at the 2015 Australian Superkart Championships. He is good.
125cc NGB races are very competitive with some very close racing. Sometimes beyond close which is not good. Good to see some new competitors get to the front pack to make it more interesting.
It goes without say that these sensational Superkart events in Queensland cant happen without the help from the sponsors, Motorsport Zone, Middleton's Printing and Zahl 1 Karting. Next event is at Queensland Raceway November 1&2. Can enter online anytime up till October 23rd. Will see you there.

The garbage that comes from south of where I live is so predictable that I took my Stock Honda to Stockies on my coin to prove a point.
Green line is no starter motor
Blue line is with Hegar4 starter motor.
Wow, look at the advantage that drive cup makes. Everybody who flapped their gums about the starter motor crank weight just made themselves look like stupid fools with no idea.
So stick your protests where they fit because nothing will beat experience, passion, perfection and commitment. If people tried as hard as the guys up front then maybe they too can stand on a podium that's worthy to be seen on.

Jase Mate,
Thank you so much for the bed and perfect steak on Sat night and for the fries at Lakeside for lunch....completely offered without me having to ask....made my the trip far better. Also Congratulations on the Stock Honda lap record around Lakeside, awesome, I tried my very best to take it from you..... Awesome job!

Thank you to the QLD Superkart Club members for welcoming me to Lakeside. Thanks to Roger Amiss for directing me along the correct paths for entry lodgement and payments as well as detailed options in regards to the radio and transponder requirements.
Thanks to Motorsport Zone for the lovely Stock Honda trophy.

Thanks Ashley for the race report and club promotion - great marketing effort :)

Congratulations Jason and Sam on the impressive lap times at Lakeside on Sunday with only 35HP . :)
Really good results for the Stock Honda Class and hopefully will encourage a few more members to try this class out. Nice trophy too :)
With the starter option looking like it is a winner, you only need an automatic chain oiler to make this class maintenance free; but then again if that happens, what would Sam do with all that free time during heats :o

BTW - very good information in that dyno curve for Stock Honda Drivers, particularly where you should be changing gears ???

Hi Ashley,
It was good to see some of the QLD National guys have posted their Video's on Youtube from this meeting - well done Tim (the Hunter) and First timer. :)
Youtube Video's are one of the cheapest and best marketing tools we have as Superkarters to promote our sport so why not give it a go and see if your video brings in another new member ???

The Queensland Superkart Club Inc Race Teams page has been updated to include every competitor from this years Motorsport Zone Superkart Series. http://www.qldsuperkart.org/teams . Dont have photos of everyone at this point but the club will have a few thousand from Ross Johnson Photography in the next few days to fill in the blanks.

Lap records now updated as well. Hope they are right. Rotax record was broken last meeting. 250 National one went close to being broken in the 41 degrees heat.
All looking good for the 2015 AASA Australian Superkart Nationals at Queensland Raceway 7th & 8th November. Looks like a sponsor for 2015 will be announced soon

2014 Motorsport Zone Superkart Series points now being added to the website. Also we have added the 85cc Gearbox catagory to our front page. Who would have thought they would make a comeback? Its possible that we might have 6 on the grid for the first round of the 2015 .............. Superkart Series.
