What did everyone think of raleigh and how it was run. I could,nt beleive how efficient the format worked .considering none of the officials had run a meeting there before, good job to all involed.
As for the track ,still the best track in Australia but I would like to see something done about the dust or dirt that was coming onto the track

Hey Robbie,
I loved the way the race meeting was run, on time, great racing and I just want to say as I think it is appropriate in this discussion thread to say a huuuge thank-you to all the guys (over 35's rotax) on the grid that helped me after my fuel burn!
In particular Jerry B. who ran over and saved me with that hose, so thank-you everyone who was on the ball there..a very painful pre-final and a very grateful me + leg!! :)

Robbie i was speaking to Luke Wall today on the phone, and even though he had a disappointing sunday after such a promising saturday, he couldn't give enough praise to everyone involved, karters, chris piggot (track owner) and all the IKD crew.. Even gave you a wrap for a great final drive... I know he hopes that pro tour heads back there again next year.
Scott its great to hear that luke had a gerat time even though the dice didnt roll his way but I did start wondering about where you were with that familar 52 chasing me down hope you can make the nationals and maybe you can show me around the place

Hey Robbie
Got back to Perth last night feeling a little stuffed. I have wanted to race at Raleigh for a long time now and I have to say it was every bit as good as I had imagined. What an experience to race in such a fantastic location on an awsome track. Well done to the IKD crew for making it all happen. Fun to race with you blokes. Ill come and do it again if I get the chance.
Robbie Daniels , top drive in the final mate ! You thoroughly deserved it !
What a top weekend , extremely well run by IKD and as for the track , yes still by far the best track in Australia , its just a
shame that we will never race there again at that format . IKD did try hard to get big numbers to make pro tour 3 at Raleigh
the biggest & the best of the pro tour events but unfortunately we just didn't get enough numbers . Entries at Newcastle were
about 165 , then Todd Road 113 & now 95 at Raleigh , whats going on ????
IKD deserved to make money on it not loose money , now cause they have lost money there is no way that it will happen again . I don't even reckon that pro tour will even happen next year , especially won't happen at Raleigh & that was the best track !
The tv coverage has been great for karting & there needs to be more of it .
Awesome drive Robbie D.... well done.
Raleigh was, what a kart meeting should be. Yeah the numbers were down, but thats just bad luck for the guys who didn't come..... what a wicked track. If I return to the seat for a race it'll be at raleigh !
Luke and all
I tend to agree with the race meeting being good, actuallu excellent , not too many classes and lots of laps relaxed atmosphere and all had a good time . I believe the reason why the numbers are down is because the form of racing was changed a couple of times as well as entry cost . My understanding is the cost of entry is high because of the TV coverage, I don’t think any one else other than karters would be bothered to watch it anyway.
To say IKD did not make any money , I wouldn`nt be so sure you have to consider all the parts and tyres sold getting prepared for the meeting I think the meeting would still have been a profitable excersize if you include the total spend per entrant.
I think consistency is the key , If you have another year of this style of race meet , and drop the entry fee and abandon the TV , then I think you would have more entries. More entries equate to more parts tyres etc sold.
I know that an extra $100 for entry is not much considering the entire cost of each drives weekend, though it seems a lot to most as an upfront cost. It seems to be the major stumbling block when I have asked around.
Ikd have done a fantastic job to date and they are with out doubt the best meetings I have attended. It would be a real shame if the meetings were lost next year.

Nic! You're famous!

IKD should hit up Bingavision for some more comprehensive coverage, I reckon. They'll be there already & "Web TV" has a far greater reach than Foxtel ever will!
nevertheless, it's good to watch when it is on :) When's the Raleigh wrap-up gunna air?
TV or not ..this meeting was an opportunity to race at one of the most interesting tracks in the country - the Europeans loved the place, so it is quite a blow to find that the level of participation was so low.. Given that 40% or karters have never raced on the track and have only heard people talk about how good and challenging the track layout is and all of the real cik events we had there, the entry should have been huge , yet it was dismal...! Thems the real facts !
Robbie Daniels you old shark, next to no practice on friday and put it all together in the final. Great drive buddy.
Let me guess. Robbie you turned up at the track, probably late on Friday. Pulled out your kart you hadn't looked at since last race meet. Started to do the prep on it you should of had done only to be continually distracted talking and helping everyone else (you are Mr Popular). Finally got a practice late Friday. Only this time you got it together and actually had a weekend you've been chasing for a while.
Congratulations mate :)
