I think that, as Dominic said, most are modified by owners. A 125 gerabox chassis is a good starting point as it already has front brakes - pretty important if it is a 200 super - not so critical for a lesser powered kart

how could i find out more about the azzurro.

Jason White in Tassie has turned millions of standard karts into twins. Send me a message I'll give you his number.
He spends the rest of his time building roll-cages for ludicrously expensive targa race cars, and driving his uncle's lamborghini... so he knows what he's talking about!
You can use a 125 kart chassis (shifter chassis) and use an engine mount like is pictured in this link. http://kartbook.ning.com/forum/topics/twin-kart That is what is common in the south island of NZ

Probably the only people making chassis for twins these days are the manufacturers of Pro Kart twin karts or dirt karts
I know that SQ build one.

ENERGY make a twin kart.
The price is $4600.oo for a rolling chassis. Two teams in TEKA are using the older ones and are very happy with them.
