I have yet to spend some serious time testing so I need some pointers. When you go out do you change things on the kart to get it feeling good first and then change things like sprocket size, flex etc to get down in lap times or do they all work together. Also do you always have the same tyre pressure front & back and if not, what is the effect on the handling if you have the front pressure higher or the other way around.

First of all change one thing at a time, otherwise you don't know what changes the performance of the kart. EG Putting out the rear tyres, not Putting out the rears and bringing in the fronts. It makes it a hell of a lot easier to recognise what makes a difference. ALSO Take a pen and paper and right down the conditions and what your setup is and your best time, so if you come across those conditions on race day you know what to do.
what class are you in?
