i have been recently approached by a schools active's teacher about taking some students to the track for a bit of a come and try day ,GREAT idea to get some young guys in before there parents spend upwards of $2500 BUZZZZZZZZZZZ wrong lets bring our good old VKA into the picture to run this you must have a full list of officials they must all be licensed and members of a club and learn all the flags HHMMMMMMM here comes the $$$$$$$ on top of this the club that is bright enough to try to encourage new kids will be up for the insurance cost,s and must run this on a weekend HMMMMMMMso that pisses every1 else of that wants to practice for the day (IE your normal members )lets just think about this wouldnt school holidays be GREAT i mean you have parents that are at home that come and bring little johny to the track have a look and think GEE this might be good for the WHOLE family to be involved in ?? BUT oh no lets be stupid about it and scare every1 off
HAVE you taken notice of how many come and go in this sport i wonder why 1 they are a lot of the time ill informed about costs and help needed at tracks 2 sold or bought the wrong karts and engine ,again not informed properly 3 costs of tyres ,engines that are having to run clutches 1 week then you dont the next restricters lets change them halfway thru the year good idea nooooot and now to top it off ROOKIES it looks like to go out and pratice you must have your exhaust sealed so that means 2 restrictors for 2 engines 2 headers for 2 engines ,,way to go more $$$$$$$$
SHAME SHAME SHAME LETS GET REAL these guys that run the show get paid enough lets give some realistic help to your karters instead of kicking the crap out of there wallets

A schools supported ( and VKA supported) come and try or activity day during the week sounds like a very very good idea.
Insurance waivers and costs such as at hire tracks would be the go to simplify things.
A small fee for club officials or helpers to cover their time would be ok.kart shops get togather and build up a pool of elcheapo karts and have kart shop representatives at these excursions as well.( certainly increase sales)
May work something like this into a schools technical or sports cirriculum.Lets face it some schools have a surfing , rowing, horseriding etc as part of subjects, why not karts/racing.
Encouraging pupils parents to the excursions would see lots of new Karting recruits as well.
Thats a good idea you have David,
not bad at all $10 for come and try in SA wake up VKA before they reckon were the most backward state in AUSTRALIA we must encourage newcomers not DISCOURAGE ,, i mean you cant even drive around on an old piece of crap at some indoor center (if you must drive indoor karts then ace karts are shit hot and well run 10/10 )
true
Dear David,
The lack of punctuation and sentence structure hurts my brain and offends Australia's schooling sysytem. Thank you in advance for your response.

that maybe true butt ive heard your a brake dancer cos you spend most of the time at race meetings on your head
Now now boys.... lets not go there.
Actually David it was on my stomach - with my kart on top of me . Thankyou for your concern though :D.
I wish I could brake dance - I would then have a hobby that was a lot less expensive and far more impressive to chicks than racing karts.
Ooop Spelling mistake for both of us....*Break dance*
