Looks like the AKA forgot about this........
Well planned again......
I think maybe last years " qualification" requirements may not have worked so hence have gone "quiet" on this event??? or their promo officer has????
Guys,
Â
The final version will be sorted at the next SKC meeting. It's on the agenda.
Â
Paul its still alive.

Hi Dennis,
Â
Thanks for that but with round one just 3 weeks away, and the lack of promo you could be excused to think its not happening ? and the next SKC meeting is on tht weekend is it not??? so they wont cancel it will they at this meeting?? what about any changes to the rules with rnd 1 underway bit late to change anything at this SKC meeting???
First round is supposed to be Orange on first weekend in Feb, same date as SKC meeting, as at end of Dec, OKC had not been advised of requirements etc.
Hi Paul,
Â
The only information I have is from the agenda. So lets what and see however I see no reason why it will not run.
Â
Regards Dennis

nothing yet.......
Hi Denise,
Â
It will run its on the calenders but why have a SKC meeting to discuss it when Rnd 1 is underway, any changes will/may effect those racing that weekend? just sounds like typical AKA planning, a bit late, 2012 shuld have been discussed in 2011. but alas.....
Qualification points have already started from last year haven't they?
I was under the impression that Closed state titles are just that. You only needed to score so many (70 city, 50 country?) to gain qualification, which was a simple number to achieve.
Just as a side note, how much would it cost to be the entry for an event like this. Haven't been able to attend previous titles but will be going this year (budget allowing). Do you have tyre pooling for this race meet or does it not warrant becuase of closed status.
Series was a flop last year for both Nth and Sth divisions. No reason why it will be any different this year, in fact most likely worse for reasons already posted. No lessons learnt. Just another money grab with an extra $14 levy going towards nothing. If you're happy to pay $100 for less than average country club meets, go for it. As far as qualifying for the closed state titles, just enter enough qualifying rounds, pay the levy and leave the kart in the trailer and hey presto, you're good enough to run for a closed state title.
As I said last year, it should be the other way round. The SKC should be supplementing the country events by $14 per entry to get more involvement at country meets. pffft fat chance.

Nothing to gain in NSW, so we're heading for the Power and All Stars in Victoria.Â
