A very large contingent of ladis have desended on Lithgow to contest the annual National Ladies title.
Entrants have arrived from Queensland as far north as Rockhampton, all the way down to Melbourne clubs who are well represeneted in a number of the classes.
Elle Brydon a CIK Star will defend her Pink Plate that she won last year.
And many other hopefulls will endevour to keep her and many of the Pink Plate title holders from previous years from repeating their past success.
While all the focus seems to be on CIK, spare a thought for this one off, totally ladies event that is as hotly contested as any other major event on the Australian Calander.
Keep your eye on the CM:S for first hand results.
Max.

Good luck and safe racing to the Lismore girls give them heaps ladies
Which club is running it ?
Tom,
It is an Initiative that is run by the Combined district Kart Club, at their Lithgow NSW Circuit.
ALL the proceeds go to the Breast Cancer foundation, and it truly is a great week-end.
BUT Tom if you want to compete you, (as a Male type I assume?) will need to wear a pink tu tu!!!!!!!
And John, the Girls from LISMORE Did you Proud!
The celebrity race included, Girls from, the V8 supercars, The Breast cancer foundation, The local Police, the local workers club, and a local radio station, and finally Donna from the AKANSW Office who followed Phillipa from the V8's into 2nd place.
I don't know the final $ donation but in total for the time the event has been run the $ figure is getting close to the $100K mark.
Same week-end next year, put in into you diary NOW!!
Max.

The event was started to provide a avenue for the girls to compete in an event since the demise of the Ladies classes in the state and national championships .This has provided the girls of there own event with 49 in the first year 2007 to 95 this year i think we have achieved this with girls coming from melbourne to to rockhampton and all points in between a great annuall event in karting with a great atmosphere plus has raised the public awareness that karting is a responsible sport that does have a charitible side and has raised a great deal of money for the National Breasr Cancer Foundation and this event one of the two iconic events on the NSW calender the over 40's being one and now the ladies event were everbody has a great time and karting wins I must congratulate all the winners on there success and to all the people who made this meeting work well done
