Economic downturn, credit crisis etc etc
so what has caused the ost of Mojo tyres to go up to $290 from $255.......?
I notice that the other tyres have not gone up........
Good strategy....promote a series.....get people on board......then hammer them where it hurts....? Cos lets face it, if they put the Mojo's up to $400 a set - whatchagonnado?!?
Or am I reading it wrong....?

The only way you would get cheap tyres is if you bought them wholesale from the factory, but who wants to fly over to europe to a few sets of tyres?
Also good point if Mojo's go up to $400(which they wont) what are you going to do?
David understand that these things seem against the turn of whats right... but tyres for the Rotax class have stayed at around $250 for the five years I have been racing the class............ If you were to buy 10 sets per year at at cost $3k I reakon that's still very affordable motorsport...................Just think 10 sets would be 5 open & 10 club days of racing.....
Great tyre the Mojo.....I have heard rumours that we are getting the Mojo wet here this year but can't confirm... if anyone knows any more please reply.................
steve i heard that the mojo wet tyre was to be used at the vic open ( may 15th,16th)
anyone correct me if you have heard anything different.

I guess this had to be expected due to the fall of the Australia dollar, however I was under the impression the mojo was supposed to be a cheaper alternative tyre in Europe?
Hi Bret
The Mojo is a cheap tyre in Europe !!!! The sell for $133 euro which is around $200 aussie.......Europe propably sell around 100 to 1 sets compared to Australia so unfortunately we always have to pay a premium .... $300 for a set of tyres is reasonable..... they average club day karter should only need 5-6 sets per year .......
Hi David,Yes I am with you on this one/
Yes $300.00 for a set is a bit over the top, if you are not able to afford them
Was this tyre price supposed to be contracted?
From what I understand the price should be contracted with exchange rate fluctuations taken into consideration.
We are seeing the same thing with Dunlop Wets. I am sure that price was a factor when Dunlop was awarded the contract, and another brand may have taken these variations into account and allowed for them. Quite unfair on the karters and other manufactures who put in a tyre tender.
