So if you say you'd rather not cheat then why pursue it ??
Your son sounds like he has the best of it with 4 or 5 others to dice with, just racing against one other driver is no fun. If mum and dad stress over trying to bridge the gap to make their 5 year old "the best" then look out -- motorsport is full of disappointment and if you are this stressed now I cannot imagine how your next 10 years will pan out.
The only way to make a young driver faster is to do more laps, practice , practice , practice.
Unless you have a money tree and can do the driver training and run every weekend let the kid enjoy himself. One day this hot shot will stuff it up and you never know you might bag a win..

Roughly 25 yrs ago when my lad was starting out we were racing at the City of Adelaide Titles and this young Victorian driver was 2 seconds faster than everyone else. I changed everything to make our kart faster during the practice days but we could not get close. Finally on race day I put my hands in the air and reluctantly told my lad "there is nothing more I can do" just do the best you can.
Well magically he suddenly dropped 1.2 seconds of his previous best - I presume he has been driving in his comfort zone previously.
12 months later he won the same event and was every bit as fast as this "gun "driver
Practice and encouragement and learning by both driver and pit crew will get you there!
Hi ‘Laura rexon’… whoever you are. Anyone who knows the issue you are discussing on here should also be aware that you are NOT who you are pretending to be. There are only a limited number of people who fit the description ‘your son’ and who have experienced what you claim to have been through as described in your original post, and you are NOT one of them.
However, I do understand your frustration and respect your right to voice your anger. I also feel very sorry that you have come to the point where you think that assuming someone else’s identity to is the only way you can raise awareness and/or resolve your issues with the club or damage the reputation of particular members. This is not the way to express your dissatisfaction. If it is this in-club nepotism and tyranny you have described which you are trying to expose, then unfortunately, you are also damaging the reputation of the very families who are working hard to create a level playing field for all on the grid.
The person who you pretending to be has not and will not ever cheat to gain an advantage in the sport, as they do sincerely believe in a fair go for all. In fact, they are probably too honest for their own good. Think it through… what would be the merit of cheating when everyone in the karting community knows what is happening. Actions and inaction speak louder than words.
If instead, you are attempting to destroy the reputation of the person you are claiming to be, then think again. You would be putting yourself in a position where legal action could be taken against you. This would not result in a good outcome for you.
Please stop this charade. Stop hiding behind a false profile and identity. If you and other parents involved actually came out and raised the issue using your OWN voices and more appropriate methods, then something might actually change.
Except that anyone who uses their own identity here, if they challenge any of the KA protected species, then serve lengthy bans, where as the protected species can do as they please and not even get so much as a slap on the wrist. (Proven Fact)
While I have know idea about this situation or anyone involved, I would NEVER recommend using your proper name on this site anymore.
If I still an AKA licence, I would most certainly not be using my real name.
As for this issue.
Anyone running around towards the front of a pack, or even in a group at the back of the pack, while they are having fun, let them enjoy it. If it becomes about winning, then you have missed the point of karting (unfortunately KA have done this exact thing) and you and your child will quickly loose interest unless you have very deep pockets to maintain what is required to do so throughout life.
The more kids that learn to enjoy what they have, not what others have, the better they will be to positively contribute to society and the more enjoyable life they will have.
Just my 2c worth.
