Our warmup meeting is this weekend at Silverstone on the International (southern) circuit. In our races we have 7 Div 1, 14 250's and 5 450's. Interestingly out of the 14 entered for 250 National, 10 are the new EVO motors :) 1x DEA, 3x Viper SK250, 4x GasGas, 2x THR
We have some testing Friday afternoon, 2x 25 min sessions and then 4x 15 min sessions on Sunday consisting of Practice, Qual and 2 Races.

Bit of a low turnout considering last year we have nearly 40 inc the 450's although I hope there will be more for the first round of the championship in a few weeks which will be on the full Silverstone GP circuit.
Live timing should be available here on the day - http://www.tsl-timing.com/event/151431

Re: Silverstone 5th April
On the weekend the UK 250 Nationals had their first test at Silverstone. Many drivers had problems and did not achieve the results they were looking for but for others it was all smiles.
Quote from Ian Harrison – Viper Racing UK
Fantastic day at Silverstone for Viper Racing UK and our SK250S engine.
Congatulations to Sam Moss on giving the SK250S it's first ever race victory, that's one for the history books!! A great second in Race 2 and the overall win on the day in F250 National.
Big thank you's to Mark Stansfield and Toby Davis on fantastic performances and feedback.
Congratulations to Sam Moss who got the win and the Viper Racing team - I am sure we are all looking forward to seeing Sam's Video on Youtube of the races :)
Quote from MSA's Facebook
Dan Clark led the early stages from Paul Platt before Platt pitted with a misfiring engine. Then Clark went out on lap 4 with a seized engine. Platt rejoined from the pit lane to try and set a decent lap time for race 2.
Paul Platt was quickest in the 250 National class on his new MS Kart chassis with a time of 1m 06.660s. Only a fraction slower was Dan Clark on his Gas Gas with a time of 1m 06.809s. This was set despite having carburation problems and poor pick up out of the corners. Gareth James on his new DEA was third quickest on 1m 07.706s just ahead of Sam Moss using the Viper SK250 motor.

Re: Silverstone 5th April
What was causing Paul's engine misfire at the previous race meeting ???
Good luck Sam for the weekend and we are looking forward to seeing your videos of the battle :D

Re: Silverstone 5th April
I would have to do it under the "Cone of Silence".
A single cylinder engine with a miss is an air compressor isn't it?
Re: Silverstone 5th April
Re: Silverstone 5th April
“Cone of Silence” sounds like a mission statement for a Muffler company. :D
“Air compressor”; be careful, it might stick and Manfred would not be happy. :(
You have missed your calling Ashley; get yourself into the Marketing field - with those lines you could make a million especially, “Cone of Silence”. ;)
Hi Sam,
There are cameras everywhere these days. :o
Maybe, you can post some photos of the UK boys for us Sam. We love that secret stuff and if you can't find any, make some up for Ashley - he loves it ::)
The new EVO motors can only help to build this fantastic class and hopefully, this year’s development will push the performance envelope even further along. :)
All the best to the Viper Racing UK Team this weekend and thanks Sam for the racing news you are posting on the Australian site. It is always good to hear about this class. :)

your memory is slipping. Have a look at this link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g1eUIK9CihA
Re: Silverstone 5th April
Would you believe ….. that the Cone of Silence is actually based on 1960 British film investigation into a series of crashes involving the fictional "Atlas Aviation Phoenix" jetliner.
A Fictional reference to the secret GAS GAS misfire ... sounds like a KAOS plot :o
