Hi Nat 11. Not sure who you are, haven't seen any posts from you. I think you are the lucky guy that bought the Champs 2010 Championship winning VIPER/ANDERSON kart but I'm not sure.
I would like to say that all Championships are interesting. 2 tracks (last year 1 that all 3 winners had never raced karts on before), 8 races, 2 qualifying sessions, hundreds of things that can go wrong or right for that matter and it ant over till its over. It wasn't until the closing stages that all 3 class Championships were won last year and with the exception of perhaps Steve T, none were leading into the final round.
Oh how I and many others, long for a "walk in the park this year", the therapy costs so much!!.
I am that lucky guy. Both you and Sam are correct. Was commenting on the fact there is going to be another great 250 national in the country. More the better i say. There was plenty of awesome racing in last years nationals but Martys driving skills with a Viper kart, hard to beat. I am not going to nationals this year, need more practice. I have been lead to believe that another Viper powered Anderson will be there, its going to be great year i can't wait. Would also be nice to see a number one in QLD.

Well Jase, If I was a gambling man I wouldn't back a QLDer for a No.1 plate in 2011, not unless I was given at least 25:1 odds. 2 round / 8 race championship of Eastern Creek and Phillip Island should throw out some curve balls and teach some lessons in all classes. ;) ........ohhhh maybe "old man" Jamo if he runs 125GB is worth a good look in ..........

Hi Joe, Yes I have heard of this package too. I'm told that it is arriving from a couple of different global ports quite soon, After a bit of race prepping work, it will then be shipped across or down or up to it's new owner.
Yes, the more the better and remember, the best testing and the best practice is racing not going around by yourself getting bored with no yard stick to measure yourself against. Come to the Nationals at both tracks, you'll learn heaps in 2 x 3 days of driving.
I really would like to attend, the best practice is racing your right, unfortunetly my budget for this year wont allow me too. 2012 will be there, might even have one round up here again.

I would put the smart money on the experienced, knowledge and established. Quite a few outside of QLD fit into this catergory. Eastern Creek and Phillip Island are ball breaker circuits for the faint hearted. Everyone will be given 8 darts and they all need to be thrown fairly straight to remain in contention.
Since your move to QLD, your outta touch with "the goss". So anyway I borrowed Cookie's crystal ball and I saw things......... things that should play out. ;)
Lets not forget about even getting into the top ten or fifteen. If you aren't running reliable and still lapping in close proximity to the handful of front runners, you're gonna have alot of karts in front of you at the scrutenering shed after each race :)
****Warning***** I've looked into Cookey's crystal ball and it aint pretty.......Cookey marries a man, and Paul Degan wins the nationals.......there you have it....
Sam you still offering those odds for a QLDander on winning the National title? Russell Jamieson at Morgan Park 1'11'78, And did a few of them. Either way just stirring but great to see Russell smash the webmaster lap record in his new chariot. Will make the Aus Championship a close event this year. Cameron
Cameron, If you want me to take that $20 off you, bring it round Thursday morning before 9:00am at Eastern Creek. ;) We need someone to hold onto the pot till end of Race 8 at Phillip Island.
SCOTT AND ALL WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE SPEEDS WE WERE SEEING AT THE ISLAND THIS YEAR BY THAT I MEAN ON CARLOS CAMERA 236 OR SO. :o
I think Carlos top end with his wing trimmed off that speed will be correct within a couple of KPH. He has managed to get the coefficant of drag down with his design and combined with a "DEAR" engine it'll be about right i think.
We saw 227KPH out of a tow up until lap 3 in the final with 4 degrees of rear wing. After this the front cylinder started to fill up with water and the acceleration slowed until it died on the last lap.
If we had got the kart sorted and ran enough over that weekend, we would have backed the wing off and probably done 230-232 but at the end of the day, it doesn't matter bugger all to achieve a good lap time as it's a tiny percentage of a lap that you might cover 10 metres of track more that a guy beside you by the end of the straight.
It's silly season again, +96 bananas is only just acceptable, King Carlo's top speeds, +14,500rpms, F1 boat designs But still a 1993 model RS250 holds the Holy Grail for 2011 and again was equal points in 2010 ;) And in 2009, another one of those "old japanese engines" held the Holy Grail.
2012 odds.......?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ??

Luke got 100% success rate with your pushing, I've had 100% success rate everytime you have pushed me at other events. Now we all know that Rolf is the best Top Turd pusher out there, however I feel that in 2012 I'm ready to make the next step from being a turd.

All he had to do was finish the last race there to take out the title.
It was good to see how dominant he was with the same Anderson-Honda package that Marty had run the year before though.

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE SPEEDS WE WERE SEEING AT THE ISLAND THIS YEAR BY THAT I MEAN ON CARLOS CAMERA 236 OR SO.
Re: Will not be a walk in the park this year.......
But still a 1993 model RS250 holds the Holy Grail for 2011 and again was equal points in 2010 ;)
And in 2009, another one of those "old japanese engines" held the Holy Grail.
2012 odds.......?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ??
These old japanese engines are pests.......just ask PIL. ;D
Re: Will not be a walk in the park this year.......
It's silly season again, +96 bananas is only just acceptable, King Carlo's top speeds, +14,500rpms, F1 boat designs

Yes true Sam, dam those DNF's!! still got 4th with 4 race finishes from 7 though.
Next year will be different though. Jammo will be strong as folk! those 2 Anderson/DEAR karts from the US. You guys are buying inlines, we will be there somehow the brc is rumoured to be strong so Gary will be up the front, etc etc. All we need now is long races and well be right and 2 good tracks !!

Yepp, next year is different, Ant will come out and play twins.
Just expect some good improvement from a couple of those "old japanese" teams. Time will tell if it's good enough. ;)
And since all these smelly inlines are going to be in front of me, I've just purchased a new helmet for 2012 to protect my eyes and lungs.

Cooksteer,
What's your going rate for 2012 Championship?
Luke got 100% success rate with your pushing, I've had 100% success rate everytime you have pushed me at other events.
Now we all know that Rolf is the best Top Turd pusher out there, however I feel that in 2012 I'm ready to make the next step from being a turd.
What do you reckon Cookie, what's my fare going to be for 2012?

Luke didn't come from no where he was leading the points going to morgan park after racing at PI last year in an Anderson only to come unstuck when the Stockman he ran at the second round broke under the stress of that track ( and not the only kart to fail with all the bumps ). All he had to do was finish the last race there to take out the title.
It was good to see how dominant he was with the same Anderson-Honda package that Marty had run the year before though.

Sam , it wasn't the balls that failed, it was the brass cage around the rollers. The new standard, cheap as chips balls handled the RPM just fine afterwards ;).
I notice you said old Japanese "team" not "engined team" So BRC Cylinders and pipes on a Honda now ehh???
You could call it the BR CONDA ;D ;D ;D :D :D :D ??? ???
