And now they want our opinion, right when its too late...
If other States have the gonads to follow KNSW lead in disaffiliating from KA why not hold a meeting of all the States & Territory & wind up (liquidate) KA because they own KA & can do it! End of Karting Australia forever.
Just shutting the gate after the horse as bolted

I have just read Mitch Lozina's paper.
I note with some satisfaction that he has addressed my thoughts on the KA response, but so much more eloquently than I might have.
And in the final couple of pages of graphs, I note that my club, now no longer considered by KA to be part of that failed experiment, has on its own, one club, achieved a participation for 2018 of approximately 20% of the total for the whole of Queensland. Almost 180 participants in August alone.
While Toowoomba was traditionally a good performer, it was by no means the biggest in Queensland. Might just be now.
I would respectfully suggest that KNSW wouldn't even need to try to emulate some of Toowoomba's success - typically 50%-100% up per meeting than was the average for much of the previous few years.
Anyway, while ever we have people like Mitch, with some reasonable access to facts, and prepared to carefully dissect the puerile drivel from head office, there is hope for karting, but not under KA as it currently works.
This is quite simply the way to go, but gonads and spines seem in short supply these days. richard gagie said:

I doubt the cost would exceed $10,000 as you do not have to be a registered Liquidator. In any event these costs would be paid from KA assets. I would be more than happy to assist, free of charge, the appointed liquidator utilising knowledge gained through my accounting career. I was an Official Liquidator & Trustee in Bankruptcy for over 30 years. David Arnold said:

But reading it do you think they will follow what the karter wants or just test the same tyres and just say the softer tyre is the better of the tyres . Markus Ackerman said:

follow further testing (disgruntled karters leaving the sport) on more abrasive tracks (the state associations are threatening to leave due to the low numbers), which has enabled us (forced us to respond the constant barrage of legitimate complaints) to reach a final position to present to you - the licence holder (reaffirm our position directly to the associate members because we no longer trust that our members will disseminate our BS adequately and are therefor bypassing the A1 process to ensure our BS gets out to the masses)
I think this about sums up this part of the response, where only half of what KA says is Bull, however, the other half is still Shit. wayne gilby said:

For those who are interested in the cost of insurance my kart club which is independent looked into driver insurance earlier this year . The club was quoted $33 per senior driver $26 per junior driver and $8 per volunteer . This was through the same insurance company as used by ka . Just food for thought .
Mate the yearly financials will show you the cost of Insurance, and without referring to it directly, I believe it was in the vicinity if $410K.
Divide that by the number of licence holders nationwide at a minimum of 6000, equals about $68.00 @ head.
KA spruiked it had bought the cost of Insurance down? It works on a pro rata system, and therefore the less you have to insure, the lower the cost.
None the less the product must be compatible to what is already on offer,
I guess a similar analogy would be like insuring your car under a comprehensive policy or third party property damage policy.
KA have also trumpeted KNSW will go up as a result of buying its own Insurance Policy. More scare tactics.
NSW represent about 1/3 of all karters in the country, 2007 to be exact. Effectively NSW can buy a policy with equal coverage for around $135K which represent again around $68.00 @ licence holder. If they on sell that for $170.00, that's potentially $200K @ year KNSW can earn for administration costs. So not only have KA blatantly mislead karters about this issue, it actually can becomes cost positive for KNSW.
There are other ways in which KNSW can derive some income for the karters, and still make it more cost effective for them
