Rolf, Gotta ask the question. If the club is paying for the long circuit, why would you use the short circuit, especially after just doing a whole meeting this month on the short circuit.
Work with me for a second.......I arrive with long circuit gearing setup to the track, I then have to shorten my gearing for the short circuit, I then have to dirty my hands one more time to lengthen the gearing to suit the long circuit again.
Unless there are some sicko's out there, I don't think many people like dirty hands or have plenty of time for additional chain lube on their fingers.
I'll respect whatever the club wants to do, however without some justification or an appropriate explanation I see it as unnecessary effort by all parties, including the club officials themselves.

Anyway aside from all of that extra work and dirty hands, the long circuit is the premier track, we have done enough on the short track this year, if you have paid for the long track why not use it for the whole time? Just askin....
So your using the whole short track and the whole long track.....that's good. I'm comfortable with either layout, I prefer the long track as I'm sure many others also would. Why does the club pay for the long track if your not going to use it the whole time....just race on the short track for all I care. Why create extra work for everyone. I'm just asking and it keeps getting dodged. It's not a scientific question man.
I thought you new everything Sammy ? Obviously not !! Maybe you should ask why they pay for long track but run short Or maybe it just costs the same !!!
What it costs and how much work it is doesn't come into it for the entrant.
I thought it was a club run by membership, who are also entrants to the event? As a member, I thought I could get an answer to my simple question. I must have thought wrong. Sorry I can't make the monthly general meetings in Melbourne to raise the question from the floor.
How about the even race numbered karts do clockwise and the odd race number karts do anti clockwise. Or vice versa. Now that would be exciting to watch.

Awesome!
Is anyone heading up for Friday practice? I think a few out of Woodgates stable are looking at it.
Just a quick question, are the tyres going to be moved to block of the short circuit when we are running the long circuit? As the track is not licenced by the AASA or CAMS to run the long circuit without the tyres in place.
It's a light commercial van, not a tractor. I thought it was a tyre barrier and not just a few witches hats to separate the circuit when running long track. It stops people like me taking the short cut (or a brake failure ;) ) into a massive T-bone with an innocent at full tilt on the main straight.
You guys can run whatever config(s) you want, I fine with whatever the lotto numbers are, I just asked a simple question and the reasoning behind it. Most drivers in conversation like the longer layout and it gives them a bit of a breather, I must have thought wrong, anyway everytime we use the short circuit is to the advantage of the Stock Honda's.....hahahahaha ;)
See you there with bells and whistles on, plus my Winton woollies.

Not here (the forum) they don't.
And yes bring your winton woolies, it's getting chilly down here. Don't want you catching a cold. ;)
Maybe we could get a few bimbettes with arrows?
Sure YOU would ALL see them.....arrows not bimbettes.
Are U sure that if we laid down the Hi Ace "commecial vehicle" on it's side with the KING on level 13 that you could'nt hit the tires rather than have a brake fade and take out someone you were going to lap anyway?

Thanks again to the Victorian Superkart Club and all their helpers who put on another great race meeting at Winton. Bullshit and Beers on Sat night, Racing with friends on Sunday. Doesn't get better than that.
Thanks all 9x Stock Honda guys...... what a great turn out!

We are offering something different and maybe challenging, exciting perhaps............
We're expecting the best as far as racing goes.
The challenge has been put out there.
It keeps you the driver thinking and us the organisers thinking, bringing out the best.
Not up to the challenge?
You know you have the time for a sprocket change or leave it for one of them, (circuits) it's totally up to you...........
Not the first time circuit length has been changed. (so your used to it, any paying much less)
Entries will close on May 7.
