Rolf, confirm 2 entries possibly 3 from our team. Where and who do I pay?
Do we need one of them (current steerers from the 2009 series) to drive in a 250? I know 2 people that can give them some realistic tips on speed/low laptime extraction in their language.
I know 2 people that can give them some realistic tips on speed/low laptime extraction in their language.
Scott, The way they extract speed in Italy is for the engineers and drivers to get all excited and use their hands waving about as they speak plus send a curse to the opposition. It also helps if there is a expresso machine with FIAT or DUCATI stickers on it that's working overtime in their pit bay.
Sam, bring the Expresso machine, we'll have a generator.
Wayne, you over her! Put her on the back of the dingy and start rowing. Good luck rowing through Cook Straight in the roaring 40'S. You'd be able to stop in at Southern Loop and save yourself time and customs fees.
My accomodation is booked in case there is something in the wind. Apparently there is a prominant team also staying at our joint so I'll proberly be able to listen to some of this language that Scott is refering to for some speed/low laptime extraction......or maybe I'll just be down at the pub. :D 'Toss the Boss' on Friday afternoon.
Settle down. The wind hasn't blown our way yet...... As soon as it's confirmed you'll all hear about it. Start cleaning and preening though, standards of presentation will be set. ;)
I know the wind hasn't blown yet, just getting ready in case. ;)

:o Officially. The Victorian webmaster Club invites drivers interested in competing at next years Nationals the opportunity of testing against this years winner and podium finishers. See what you need to stack up against them early. Partake of the Clubs hospitality and fine food.
Rolf, Jason and I will be there for "Toss the Boss" and Saturday racing. Both of us should have a competitive machine to lock horns with the fast guys down there. ;)
Friday 13th at the Isle of Fright. 5:00-6:00pm Toss the Boss, then move on to dinner to talk sh*t about the next days racing. ;D Saturday 14th, racing at Phillip Island. I will have the Laguna Seca lap record kart back in my hands from the USA very very soon. Hmmm do I bring that kart out or the current Australian Championship winning kart......decesions decesions......
Mike, That's why your the Team Principal at Team Drongo Racing (TDR). Get your calender out and tell me which is the next month that has Friday 13th and Saturday 14th. ;D

Remember you need to wait for your rebuild parts to arrive before the doctor can work with it. I figure you should plan to go from Mid NSW to collect, then direct to PI so no one is rushed ;)
Ok then, from now on lets not confuse anyone...lets just say 13th and 14th and get them to align the planets, look at the sun dials, contact their horoscope people and work out which month/year it is :D :D :D
No guarantees I'll be able to make it then. We need to account for me forgetting to mix oil & blowing up on the dyno a few times first. (Actually that's already happened, except basically the other way around....we worked it out after me & Stocky tried starting it 100x and started wondering why oil was coming out of the carbies....another golden moment, courtesy of TDR.)
Remember it's the Isle of fright for "Toss the Boss" with Sammy on the 13th of November. Round 6 of the Vic Club series on the 14th of November And the PIARC sprint day (great for practice) on the 15th of November All dates are for 2009 (Mike) ;)

Hmmmm, she may need one of your resto jobs first or though I have seen that kind of standard of kart, racing now maybe with more oil on than that though!
Back to front "A" frame too, it would probably handle quite well. I would put 6' rims and tyres on it.
It looks like a copy of the old DAP a frame, but I'm sorry to say that the rear crash bar won't make it past the SWG police. You will have to get some tips from Sammy on that. The 15th is definitely out as they are running the sprint championship that day.
Some seat washers, nurf bars, a bit of floor tray and some aluminium paint on the wheels and it will be all go. ;D It hasn't got RWP bars so all is good. :P
The goss for this event, there is a good line up of 250 twin drivers to get their entry in at Phillip Island 14th November 2009. The early edition newspapers say; Sam Zavaglia Steve Castles Jason Laker Mike Wayne Gary Pegararo Scott Ellis I. Harpas Y. Harpas + many more twin drivers.........
If I'm yet to call your name, get on here and let us know if your racing PI in November. What a great day this should be!
Rightyo, I'm going into the garage to race prepare the Yammie with what I learnt at Eastern Creek last week....between you and me, the bitch is quicker. ;)
Now the Honda arrives back from the USA this week and I have the bits awaiting it to make it competitive again. Ohh what a delema, which one should I bring down to the Island on the 14th November?
And for next year's championship, which one shall I drive and which kart will I give the last Formula E World Champion and 2009 European Championship race winner to drive?

So what language you guys speak down there?
Re: Something is in the wind
Will notify ALL when it's all go.
Mexican will be the required language
Re: Something is in the wind
I believe they call it Victorian based/Kiwi?
Prep your kart ready for the possibility of something big coming up. You will need your grid girl if it does.
Re: Something is in the wind
Is there power available to operate the expresso machine?
