AND YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE .....HOPE YOU CAN SLEEP TONIGHT KNOWING WHAT YOU HAVE DONE.
For anyone who cares to read this do not even bother to go to any stewards hearings, just pack up and go you have absolute zero chance of any true justice (if there is anyone out there who have won a case against them let us know, my guess there is none whatsoever) they are all corrupt, believe in their own lies and stick together like the low life shit.they are. We are forever done with these so called by the book, we do it for the love of karting and want everyone to have a good time in karting, officials. You make the rules as you see fit, After sitting through your kangaroo court and after you hearing evidence from a witness, you still believed the lies from a fellow official with no wintesses, we then ask what action we can take against the intimidating in your face official only to be told we only had half an hour to do so, how convenient that that half an hour was taken up by their hearing.......absolute bullshit. Hope the aka are truly happy now they have lost yet another karter, make that 3 as had a few mates who were thinking of getting into it.
Ps Remember karting is supposed to be fun, its not fun when its run by power hungry lying idiots, you have taken all the fun out. We are off to pro kart or cars.

If you read your rule book,…
If you read your rule book, there is an avenue of appeal which has no time limit.
This wouldn't surprise me.

Ethan,sad to hear you have…
Ethan,
sad to hear you have had this experience, but sadly far too many also experience the same. We are incredibly short of officials [ and drivers as well] they are volunteers BUT we DEMAND PROFESSIONAL results at ALL levels and thats where its tough, we take ANYONE we can get, the good ones and [sadly] the bad ones, has ANYONE failed a stewards school test [ is there any test at all?]. we put up with bad offiicladm because w eare too scared to take them on as we may lose them and have none at all so we put up with their antics. In the end its a self defeating policy and we do more harm than good.
Its a tough and thankless job at times, done it for a decade and got burnt out, BUT they have many things at their disposal to make the correct decision, they do't have to make snap instant decision like a footy ref, they can take their time examine all avenues read the rule book for guidance, work as a team to ensure proper procedure no ONE man rule etc etc. I think there is an attitude that exists beause they are a neccesity in the sport that they can act how they like and it goes to their heads.
There are many hard working officials that do the best they can, but that work is undone by these less than profesional officials.
Take it further Ethan, don't just leave without first making sure this person, if he is at fult is NOT brought to some sort of justice as he will continue with this attitude whilst ever he can feel he can get away with it.
If you still want to race…
If you still want to race for a little bit of fun ethan, and dont mind a couple of hour drive, race with the nka last sat of each month afternoon evening race at the Gong mate. Its a lot more relaxed meeting, and good fun.

Ethan,this is sad to hear…
Ethan,
this is sad to hear. Unfortunately some officials want to appear bigger than the world but that is life. I hope you didn't talk to them like you are abusing them in here. No mate what sporting code you are in abuse is not tolerated, but everyone has a voice. Is there another side to this story? Like how u happened to be in the stewards office in the first place? Most karters when their kart wont start will understandably be upset aswell.
I'm sure your not the only person to have a run in with the chief steward and def won't be the last.
If it does make u that upset how about u becoming a official and make things right in the sport. I sure as hell won't cause I don't want to be publically apaches off like this and not be able to do anything about it. Just remember without them we would not go karting, someone has to step up and run the meeting and I never see to many hands goin up to help out.
But this is just my view. Someone that was watching the racing.
Hope to see u at the track again.

So what happened?
Hi Ethan,Sad to hear of…
Hi Ethan,
Sad to hear of your experience.
Regretfully what you say is basiclly correct as the AKA do NOT have good track record for disciplining officals, basically because its a "mate" system, they will deny this of course. The lack of any visible effort to"educate" off track officials damages this sport. We see this "mates" system infect our admin and its now ineffecting this level.
Yes we will see "odd" decisions from time to time, but when offending officials are the "same" ones at HIGH level its only natural to be concerned about the level of "guidance" they receive, if any.
Ryan,
Yes we need these officials, like ANY sport we need ppl to run it. BUT should we be "hiding" behind this need to have these officials when they don't perform??? do we "put up with" these egomaniac with power just so we can race? in the end guys like Ethan will just leave telling all his mates about his experiences. Word of mot is a powerful weapon in recuruiting new people it can udermine thousands of dollars of advertising we do. In short we need to keep working on the "standard" of officialdom and "educating" those who don't perform AND be prepared to remove them if they fail to take on board the "education" AND NOT BE AFRAID OF WHO THAT PERSON IS. At the moment it looks like its a "boys" own club and no one can touch them.
We have a mechanism in place for officials but why isn't it used? because its not independant, bit like the police investigating the police, and the karters have NO faith in that system at all.
Hi Paul, I couldn't agree…
Hi Paul,
I couldn't agree with u more. I have also Been in front of said official from time to time but only because my mouth exceeded what was actually happening.
I understand with the training of the officials but who trains the competitor? Who will make sure the competitor keeps them self inline? In most cases there is a reason that you get called up infront of the officials. And if Ethan is obliging he would let you know the initial reason why he was there not just the outcome of the hearing.
All I am saying is that there is 2 sides to every story, an official won't just go up to u and say your introuble for no reason. But as I first said there are officials out there that thing they rule the world but there are alot more out there that do a awesome job at running meetings. Don't let the few destroy a healthy sport.

Hi Ryan,thats the challenge…
Hi Ryan,
thats the challenge, its even more a challenge if these "bad" ones are "connected". Maybe clubs should do thier own form of disciipline, ie DON'T list an offending ifficial on their next sup regs, they will soon get the hint they aren't wanted and given the club can also get tarnished by these bad eggs they might get more motivated in who represents them at race meetings and only get the ones that do act professionally. If the AKA refuse to act maybe the clubs can "starve" these bad ones from positions at meetings???
