This post is designed so that a novice can purchase and assemble a Stock Honda engine package from kit form right up to a complete kart race ready for scrutineering.
The beauty of Stock Honda GEARBOX racing is that the results are based on driver talent and kart setup without the perception of big dollars or black magic to get you to the front.
I am currently in progress of making this booklet that documents the complete setup for my latest Stock Honda build. This attached booklet will be growing quickly into a very big document, so keep coming back to see the updates.
This serves only as a guide/infomation to how I'm setting up my new Stock Honda kart/engine.
The idea is to be a good reference for those who are not sure and are seeking my advise.

This booklet is made using a Complete Engine Package purchased from Sharkshifter in USA.
While the booklet is done using Sharkshifter products, engines from other providers will not be too dis-simular.
For reference, the complete engine package postage cost is AU$430 from Sharkshifter USA to Australia.

Re: Setting up a Stock Honda from Kit Form to Race Ready
(i) First thing was it's not to be a ruling that will go out of control of budgets and perception.
(ii) The ruling must be fair for all, be it Brand X, Y, or Z chassis, the bodywork ruling should not disadvantage any one brand/design CIK chassis over the next.
(iii) It had been commented that forcing only CIK plastics bodywork rule does not make the karts look like they are part of the "Superkarts".
Finally, the solution went full circle to simply adopt the current Rotax Max nose cone template ruling but the CIK plastic sidepods must remain in place along with the 'sprint style bucket' seat as per the proposed Stock Honda rules have always been.
We now have a new Stock Honda currently being built up in Victoria, 2 complete karts in QLD and 5 in NSW, so the momentum is growing in what has proved to be bullet proof reliability with a cost effective, little expertise stepping stone into our 'Gearbox' catergory Superkarting.
Mark Vickers has already adopted a 'Lennox' nose cone to his kart and was able to drop 1 tooth on the rear sprocket and take out 2nd place in the 125GB 'open' class at Eastern Creek only behind the current 125GB Australian Champion Jeff Reed.
After the Winton round in May, Tracey's and my kart will look something like this.....and possibly PIL will follow.
To all the people who provided comment and valuable feedback......tell me now that doesn't look like a Superkart!
Thanks to everyone that has supported the concept, expect to see this continue to grow.

Playing with the colour scheme on Tracey's kart before getting new fiberglass made with colour already in it.
Big set of lips and eyes yet to come for Winton.
