If your planning on running at Round 2 of the Australian Championships you'd be mad not to be there on August 17.

Well Done Gary!
Gary Pegoraro INT 1:30.7407 Race 4
The Hoss wasn't slow either in Marty's kart.
Darren Hossack INT 1:31.1671 Race 3
Ohh, thanks to Jeff Duckworth for lending me a couple of old rear SL6 tyres for Race 3 and 4, mine were past the depth indicators. Cheers mate, sorry forgot to thank you on the podium. ;)

Anybody notice the new lap record around Phillip Island from the weekend?

Yes it was great to see 2 fast guys in Twins together on a club day. We changed the kart to where Hoss used to run that kart (2010/11) except we needed a taller 6th enabling a shorter final drive ratio and we didn’t have our usual Kelgate pad combo either. We would have been quicker for sure but Gary was fast no doubt. We played with the engine a little too and then changed it back for the final.
The track is very different now, 2 corners we used to have issues in were no longer a problem at all.
The Nationals will be a great weekend, can’t wait.
Re: Round SIX entry form.
What a golden opportunity to build some interest in the Nationals with these results - Thanks Scott for what you wrote - can you comment more on how the day went with the others - what happen to Gary, Kristian Illya. (dnf's) ???

I believe Gary was testing new Dunlop tyres (apparently for the next CIK Superkart Homologation) so I'm guessing he finished 1 lap prior to everyone else to get a DNF result, that way in the event someone out there wanted to complain he was "cheating" for the result or whatever, his results are DNF so any protest/complaint of non-compliance is invalid.......this is just my educated guess. Thanks to Gary and Dunlop Kartsport, hopefully Dunlop tyres submitted to CIK are the tyres that have been tested for our conditions too.
Re: Round SIX entry form.
What is the plan for the Stockman 250cc team at the PI - FPE powered ?? - or should this be in Goss :)
Re: Round SIX entry form.
Seriously, other than modifying some ECU wires, the odd dyno curve from Brian and pushing on the wing of the new kart at Eastern Creek test day, I know nothing about a who, what, why, when, Stockman/FPE for Phillip Island. I mean Warren came to Wakefield recently with his Yamonda to keep me even more clueless for a September Phillip Island.
I can tell you he will be at Mallala the week before in a Stock Honda ;)
Re: Round SIX entry form.
The Mallala meeting is shaping up to be a big race day and having the Stock Honda class there will help to promote this class to a wider audience.
Bob Fleming went through the same pain to get the 100cc non gearbox class established and it turned out to be the a very successful class – Rotax Max non gearbox has taken over and continues in that same vein to be the life blood of the SA Club – The Stock Honda class could well do the same for the gearbox class - Good luck ?
Re: Round SIX entry form.
Yes it has not been the smoothest road and I never thought it would be.
We now have a great set of regs, a proven formula and a lot of people having fun who only have limited budget, personal time and expertise to go racing.
It feels great giving back to the sport for what it have given me over the last 20 years, but I have not done it on my own. There have been others here as well that have helped tremendously and also many from the USA, without those we would have likely failed.
Bob Fleming, now there is a name from the long lost past, I still have a 100ccNGB floor tray diffuser of his lying around in my garage somewhere.
Now what we need is maximum support for this Mallala event, whether you run a Rotax Max, Gearbox kart or Stock Honda, this is a club run event in a club run atmosphere. Plenty of laughs, meet up with friends and good racing.....it won't disappoint. Anyway, I'm sure we will have a new topic for this somewhere.
Re: Round SIX entry form.
Even if it is only on this web site as a Entry - how about it Ant? :)

Thanks for the "Goss" on why Gary was pulling in prior to the checkered flag. I wondered why and there's always chinese whispers going around so I just ignore comments and opinions given in the pits.
I'm sure Jammo will do low to mid 31's when he turns up in September if the track's 'fast' like it was last Saturday or is the track that fast all the time now since the resurface? We hadn't run there since Round 1 of the Nats last year.
