I have been given a bundle of Threebond Cold hard cash that I would like to spread amongst the podium getters. 2nd Place $150.00 Cash
3rd Place $100.00 Cash

Well done Marcus. Hard at it supporting the kids again.
This would also be a great chance for the kids to get some pratice for the "Harrington Doyle Racing Cooloola Junior Gold Race for Daniel" in January. See link below. Only 2 meetings left at Cooloola (the Gold Coast Grand Prix, and CCKC Club Champ Final 13th Nov) before the event in January.

And with a field of (currently) 17 Rookies entered for the C&D Titles, who will we see at this meeting proudly running the Red Plate? Marcus, congrats for the great job you're doing to support the Rookie Class.
Hey guys just thought I'd drop a line in here to let you know that is the same weekend as the Supercheap series final in Gladstone.
That's the hard thing when you run anything it will nearly always clash with something else.
Congratulations to Marcus and team for their efforts to help the karters and the clubs
Thanks for letting me know craig what a shame. I looked at the QLD AKA website and there is nothing in there regarding that in the dates. The last meeting we tried to build up and get a good field clashed with Lismore. This and other reasons as all part of the reason that we generlly just go and race in sydney and have basicly given up with the lot up here. How hard could it be to update the callender and actualy show all the events.
We have only done one of the supercheap rounds and I was unaware that it clashed with this event. Rookie racing and I almost think racing in general up here is kapooot at best. I cant do much more as my work commitments are beyond help but we need to inject life back into what was a great sport. Not having events marked on a statewide callender thats been created by the sports admin may shine some light on part of the problem its an event calender how hard can that be to get correct ?
The trouble with the race dates Marcus, is this year the Supercheap Series dates were submitted and approved months after the race calender was approved at the AGM by all the clubs. Toowoomba Supercheap also clashed with a Gold Coast round at Warwick.
Why it isn't on the AKA Qld events calender is a mystery as is where they would find the sup regs for that weekend. Every other round and Sup Regs was on the calender.
Dates take hours for the clubs to agree upon at the AGM and they shouldn't be adding more to the calender especially 5 more affecting clubs around them.
Don't let this make you stumble in what you are trying to achieve. There are some great prizes for all classes at this years Gold Coast Grand Prix and word is spreading. Should be a good meeting.
Dont know about Kapoot...there were 17 rookies at the last Ipswich club meet and a few regulars missing....This will be the biggest class next year lots of Cadets moving up....members should certainly support clubs that organise good meetings for there respective classes...
Troy thats the same amount that turned up at warwick the other week thats all classes all age groups thats it i agree thats not Kapoot its RIP.
And whilst you say 17 at ipswich and well done for that unfortunately thats not the go at the other events. Walters BBQ is spot on and the SEQ Rookie World cup things great but our karting is ??? cant give you a word here ??and i apreciate there is way more classes than rookies but im just trying to get bigger fields for us to race against. If i got stuck in i could get a heap more prizes etc but then all im doing is dividing the small amount of people that have go karts and kids between the two meets and i dont reckon thats the go.
If i remeber last year there was a meeting on the same weekend at Ipswich / Lismore and cooloola I felt sorry for Toowoomba and warwick so I reckon kapoot is spot on.
we all need to get together and try and all turn up at meetings and support them rather than having 2 & 3 kids racing in a class because thats whats happening around the place may be we could settle on ipswich every month and then one other and alternate them around so that we race twice a month with 20 or so kids. that would suit me rather than driving to Sydney all the time.
I would like to say well done Marcus for promoting what is becoming the largest class in SEQ and next year should be even larger.
This also is promoting Karting at club level & should continue as the series in QLD really have an impact on clubs and their meetings.
Myself & Harrison would have prefered to run the Toowoomba meeting that was geared towards Rookies though another series got in the way.
Well today Harrison & Myself decided to support the initiatives of a few and flag Supercheap and attened the Gold Coast Kart Prix. ( Rumbling Rookies) You have to love it well done.
Harrisons Dad.
The Gold Coast Kart Prix will have heaps of prizes for EVERY class racing. There are prizes such as a race suit, sets of tyres, cash, holidays, tools, cash, vouchers, subscription to kart oz and much much more. Sup regs are up but please note direction will be anti clockwise. Thanks to all who are not only supporting the event with prizes but to everyone who intend to come along to race at a great event. See you there !!! Jack's Mum ( Belinda )
Belinda is that still on the 30th october if so we will be there raing rookies and I gaurantee that kodys kart has got the bugs out so I hope all the rookies are ready for team Kodstar.
