If anyone is interested, some of the movers and grovers of the vskc are going to dinner at the Panhandle PI on friday night. See you there at around 7.30pm ;D ;D ;D
Last time it was at the RSL and the Cookster turned up 1/2 hour early to sneak in a quiet dinner for 2 in the back corner. Pity Stocky and I were there foil his plan. ;D
Rod Prickett 1st Darren Kitchen 2nd Sam 3rd. All the results are on Natsoft and I see Dalton did a 1.43.8 in the first practice session, not bad for his first go on the track, keep up that form and you never know what will happen at the nationals, the rough hand brickie might have some competition ;D
Well either way I think it definently proves that the honda engine is the one to have hopefully stocky can get it to be as reliable for you as the viper package. It is early days in development for him so it will be interesting to see how it pans out
My Race 1 DNF with brake failure at MG. Would have been a perfect weekend otherwise. Scarery $hit.... :o http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cNIPdqZsRgQ My fault, too much attention in the "Go" dept, not enough attention in the "Stop" dept between race meetings. Rekitting the brake calipers before Eastern Creek ;)

Matt thanks for the updates via "FB", sounds like Im going racing in the most cuthroat class at the moment, great..... :P
Data shows that the problem was to do with the pusher. Sammy "boned" me for Steve. :D :D :D
Top Turd Racing are still doing their investigation, having witnessed the event and provided the pusher. There were allegations of sabotage but they are unfounded. ;D ;)

Have a look at Dalton. Doesn't seem quite sure what to make of that green and gold machine by the looks of it.
What happened mate, seized caliper piston
C'mon Feno, My kart is only 2 years old, not 12 years dumped outdoors. :D
I felt the brakes fade a bit at Wakefield so I biased more to the front as rear caliper tends to get hotter around short circuits. In the first two sessions at Phillip Island I felt the kart didn't pull up as well as I liked so I biased it back toward the rear....maybe too much for Race 1. In the race the pedal went very long to the crash bar, by the time I got towed back to the pits I had a pedal again, so I'm assuming the rear brake fluid has boiled at this stage. We bleed new fluid to the rear and it was coming out yukky colour with some air. I have never changed the fluid in this kart, so I'm guessing this could be the reason. So for safetly sake, I'm going to re-kit the calipers with all new orings and new fluid, then we should be confident again. Glad it happened now and not at a major meeting.
Cookie will tell you that I boned him for this meeting.....he could be right. ;D
Just wanting to know of any nuances you had and fixed, so that I can do the same with mine. but I'm sure cookie had it covered when he was administering foreman instructions whilst Matt was working on it.
Sounds like I need to bring full protection with me on all accounts when I cross the border! ;)
Sam: You should have listened to yourself (Re. Alex at Wakefield) about not changing brake fluid......which reminds me (or you)to do mine.....
See Paul, I give good advice...... ;)
Anyway, I was thinking it's about time to bleed new fluid into your brakes too next time you bring your kart around, then I thought that you don't go fast enough to use the brake pedal anyway. :D
