All feedback sought, none judged, all taken on board...
Im building a race car to run in the NSW Production Touring Car series in 2013 and I had a friend of mine say to me the other day, "Why dont you consider advertising the car for hire for kids parties"....
(The idea would be that kids and anyone else could jump in the car and get photos etc)
I didn't think much of it, but what better way to determine if it's a good idea or not then to ask my fellow comrades....
Considering I have seen everything for hire these days for parties, fucntions etc. It may be an idea worth pursuing!!!
What are your thoughts???
Good or bad idea?
A waste of time as no one would want to hire it?
Possible good idea?
Risky???
Keen for feedback!!!

It is an awesome idea but make sure you check the costs for public risk insurance. You will be dealing with kids and the possibilities for injuries will be almost unlimited.
Great advice mate. point taken. Im pretty sure i can get public liability for 10 million for about 400 dollars a yr...
Last little kid that hopped in my racecar tipped my Arai gp6 out and onto the ground in the process of clambering into it so i wouldn't want them anywhere near it LOL bloody kids..what car are u building?
Haha... VX Clubsport to run in the production touring class!!! See attachment mate!!!

Awesome Trevor, should be a weapon! I have always ran hqs and geminis up here in Qld, i am currently in the middle of doing up my old faithful street car (02 AU Xr6 ute) to run in the QR sedans class (and probably will fit into the prod class whenever iRace have rounds up here) its all caged and i have all the parts but i need to pull my finger out though and really start to finish it off!! really like the idea of prod based class using late-ish cars, as an altenative to IPRA racing or even saloons which have now become a million dollar deal!!
and as for the birthday deal, why not try it out.
Yeah its still an option. I need to look at insurance etc. The car is close to done so I'll be keen to up my research when its done. If u have FBook look up my page under TLA Racing!!!
Give me a buzz one day to.

Well its official. On this day 1 December 2012, TLA Racing was registered as an Australian business.
So with that in mind, the race car will be available for hire for promo events (display only)
Childrens parties or any other function from late January 2013.

Located in Western Sydney and happy to travel within Sydney Metro area!!!
I don't think it would be worth the effort of dragging the car to small events like kids parties kids will loose interest in 5 mins and it will cost you at least half a day to tow set up ,tow back home etc It might work for corporate typr events where you get a worth while fee to turn up .You'd be better off spending you time getting good sponsors support and going racing on your weekends !
