Hi Everyone,
I am looking at getting back in to Karting. I havent done a lot and previously had my dad helping out with the mechanical side of stuff so it will be a big learning experience for me.
Upon looking at whats on ebay/gumtree it looks like the 100S is readily available and cheaper but is this a dying breed and slower than the competition? I plan to just do some practise and social stuff while I learn before actually getting racing.
Should I get something like this just to learn the basics or should I spend the extra and jump to a 125 tag or similar or will that be too much learning/parts/money for beginning?
Thanks for your time!

Buy a second hand Rotax or Leopard X30. Put a Restrictor in it & you will have an output of about 18 HP or the equivalent to a Yamahe 100S (Clubman). Not sure they even run the clubbie anymore in competition. You should be able to pick up a Rotax or X30 for less than $2000.
