Check out the "360" Device, pricing is better than the "leatt" and the protection offered without the restriction of turning you head seems ideal. I've got a couple of mates who use them and they swear by them.
We will have these available in a few weeks, the closest thing to a hans device, with out the cost..
How much???
Tim, sorry what braces do u have, i cannot seem to find them on the site.
guys send me an email tim@fastlinegroup.com we have a number of different styles as we do a lot of custom work in racewear. the braces 360 model are around $180 usd, we should be doing these a little less i would say, just waiting on the new pricing for the units. feel free to call our office on 1800 037 650, we are located in melbourne.
email sent. cheers
I have a DTO doughnut style neck brace. I wore it for 3 laps then threw it in my bag. Was very uncomfortable. However, i want some neck protection, and support, so look forward to trying one of these 360 devices. The company that sells them overseas have never been very interested in replying to the emails i have sent them regarding the item..
What to avoid??
Well, be careful buying over the internet. Not because of dodgy dealers, but because a neck brace is only as good as its sizing and its relationship to the helmet. Ideally you want to take yourself and your helmet to the dealer and make sure it all works together. Some neck braces do not work with some helmets, so be careful.
I got my son (12) a Leatt about 18 months ago, got it fitted at Meridian Motorsport (Melb) and it is great. Good support, no head turning problems. Other products have come on the market since then so it would be worth checking them out.
Cheers
Edwards Kart wheels are he resellers of the 360 device here in Australia. www.edwardskartwheels.com.au as details there.

New to forum guy asks when will they become mandatory? why not now.
They are not necessary. If we begin to go down this path, it will be a matter of time before people are screaming for high seats, and god help us, roll bars.
