Mal thanks for the advice, however it is a simple process to adhere to the A1 rule and or publish such documentation via that rule. It has now been 7 weeks, 2 weeks prior to board taking control, since that meeting and still no minutes published.
As we were all reminded so many times in the past, there are only 6 members of the NKC. Not that hard to send out from the national to the States (the members of NKC) any documents that need to be forwarded to ALL clubs and then onto members.
As for Facebook, or this forum infact, we get feedback the hierarchy don't like members using it and have actively discouraged its use? Why, does it highlight the deficiencies in the system? So why then should we turn to Facebook or any other form of 'social media' to find out what is happening in the organization that we are a member of?
these are simple processes that have been ignored and neglected for so long now people think it is normal.
Understandably, however they can't have their cake and eat it too.
We have very basic and simplistic means of communications that can't be adhered to, yet we appoint a 'promotions and marketing' manager that appears only to do things the way he sees fit and in in line with his media training? He should be as accountable as the hierarchy.
Whose portfolio is it then to have these minutes published once they are signed off by the President? You would think the secretary, yet we never get those minutes disseminated via the states or to the clubs. The only place you will ever find them is listed (sometimes) on the webpage. That is not the system.
Mal, again all well and good to say they are watching. It is a very basic process as I have said before. National to state, State to Club secretary, club to members and vice versa.
Simple memorandum issued to all to this effect.
A1 Communications must follow the official path:
a) From club member to club secretary, from Club Secretary official correspondence (letterhead)
to State Office to National Office for forwarding to other bodies involved.
b) Replies are to follow reverse procedures.
c) Under exceptional circumstances, the National Executive may communicate directly with
National Council, National Track Committee, National Technical Committee or the National
Officials Committee and vice versa.
d) Under exceptional circumstances, communications may occur at other levels of karting which
do not comply with this rule. When this occurs, all replies should be in accordance with rule
A1.c (above) unless Privacy Regulations may be breached.
Finally yesterday they arrived. Now trying to decipher them.
