All 4 Inters finished every race. Congratulations guys upon your preparation of reliable Inters :) Pre empting the years CAMS Series Presentation Night, Josh #78 was leading the outright CAMS series until the last days racing. :'(
Bernie Walsh #52 National drove exceptionally well, in his well set up kart. He was 2nd outright in every race. Bernie was leading part of Race 3, Jason had a moment, front tyres shot "just to keep it all honest" Jason said at the presentation. This National #52 combination gave the Inters something to think about.
Myself in #17, I had a good reliable weekend, though "shook up" over the bumps, I'm sure I was getting up to 6 inches air in places. In the early laps of race 3 I did my personal best time, the tyres lost grip in the last few laps (out of 10 lap race) maybe the tyre pressures could have been lowered as it was then a hot afternoon.
Daniel Lewis, our Qld Rotax Champion now driving #8 the ex Brendan Luderman National kart was getting accustomed to the National, he also had a coil lead issue. We're sure he will soon be up the front in this National.
Paul Gregory #37 in my other National kart had a weekend he'd rarther forget. :( A persistant electrical issue with no spark put him out, he only did a few laps in Race 1. Everything was changed including stator, coil, CDI, tried parts from my kart, but still no spark. Today Paul discovered two wires from the stator to CDI box plug had been swapped before I purchased the parts.
125's Phil Silcock #12 had a reliable weekend, though I'm told his lap times were lower than previous race meetings maybe it was that restaurant meal we all had Sat. night. ???
Lindsay Jamieson #75 was fast, except for 1 race, the GOSS has it he forgot to turn the choke off ::)
Drene Jamieson #26 (85cc) had a DNF earth issue in race 1. Finished race 2. had other issues in race 3 but finished.
Russell Jamieson #32 driving the 125cc - DNF race 1, DNF race 2, but finished 6th in race 3. I'm told Russel had his big foot into it so hard it jammed the throttle pedal it punched a hole into the stop bolt at turn 2, with a stuck throttle, he kept it going but turned off the ignition, managed to get his foot behind the pedal pulled it back, turned the ignition back on and continued racing.
There were 2 karts with earth failures in race 1.
The Jamieson's must have had a busy day.
The yearly presentation night is on the 8th Dec, same place as last year, see Cameron's email.

Dont forget Phil that this event was the last round of the 2012 Superkartaus.com Superkart Cup and we must thank the sponsors for their support for the year.
