As a starting point, clean all of the terminals in your wiring harness, and clean all of the earth points.
And try a new fuse.
Thanks will try but getting power to starter just not kicking over
Is the starter motor running, or the bendix gear not engaging. If the starter motor is not running and you definitely have power to it - look at the brushes in the starter motor.
If that is OK, and it is the bendix, you can try pulling that out and give it a good clean and lube with some WD40.
If it's engaging and cranking, and blowing a mist of fuel out the exhaust. It could be low comp. Possibly carboned up ring due to 16:1 castor. If that's what your using.
Thanks Vince will test comp and yes using 16:1 should I be using different
Sounds like starter Brushes to me.
When looking at them, don't just look at the brush length, but look that the flexible wire is not broken. These often break due to the vibration of the RL. When reassembling the starters, just a bit of non-conductive silicone to stop the brush lead from moving around, but still leave enough free to allow the brush to ware down.
