Hey i think the admin has to fix this problem ASAP. The problem is when you reply to a discussion your reply goes very last. so if there is 3 pages your reply goes on page 3 at the bottom. I think it should be that your reply goes on page 1 at the top. Newest replies first!

No problem here champ.
then we would need to read it backwards.....
Hi Daniel,
Thanks for the suggestion. Generally, forum discussions read from top to bottom, in chronological order. When you're browsing the forums you can click on "Latest Reply" which will take you to the most recent comments about the topic.
Hope that helps mate,
Col.

Makes it hard when you have to open page 1 before you can select page 10 but!
or am I doing something wrong?
Don't get me wrong Mez, there's a couple of things I would LOVE to change about the forum software (UBB boards can save in the cookie what you've read and what you haven't, and can automatically take you to the last UNread post)... However, we chose the Ning platform for its "social networking" flavour (which has worked really well), and we're kinda stuck with the forum as it is. I think, while there's a couple of niggly things that could be improved, overall it works well enough for us to use.
As for having to go to Page 1 before you can get to Page 10, if you click the words "Latest Reply" rather than the name of the topic, you get taken to the LAST page, from where you can browse to wherever you like. That might be a *little* bit better :-)

Sometimes posts are borderline defamation.... I understand why posts were removed in the cases of naming companies involved in the clutch debacle. There's a fine line there.
I am very disappointed though that the whole thread on the clutches was removed.... that is plain wrong.
The main voice we have is forums..... quick, easy, direct.... especially on this one where you have to use your name.
If the threads are removed though it means other avenues have to be used....... like the media.
Cheers

From my understanding defamation can only occur when the truth is bent out of shape or facts are manufactured. Is this not so? That being the case and if the parties telling the story had all the facts then it can't be defamation as the events occurred and to put their names in the public eye would not be defamation. They did not want to put names to the allegations so either they were only telling part of the story or did not have the evidence to back up their allegations. That forum appears to be going down the same path as the old KA forum did. It will be interesting to see how long it lasts. I think I will go over their tonight when more people are watching and have a bit of fun.
I have no idea what the "true" interpretation of defamation is; I'm not a lawyer. It may be the wrong word to use.
Call it what you will. It's a dangerous game for forums and private individuals to be "naming names" whether it's true, accurate, legal, honest or morally right or not.
I know one of the fellows telling "a part of that story" re- the AKA bail out of clutch manufacturer and I am extremely grateful that there is someone like him in karting. He is always outspoken and honest in his opinions and hides behind no-one.
Without people like him speaking from time to time none of these secret issues would get out until it's too late.
Cheers
