All on Facebook Neville, this place is too hot with the fuzz
I think the strict KA social media policy/police make it impossible for anyone to have an interesting debate. When people see how some of the wonderful people in the Karting fraternity have been banned for just having a discussion on line and voicing an opinion they are all running scared. Its a shame we no longer live in world of free speech - but lets not go there. Sadly the days of healthy debate are gone and Kartbook is now a wonderful site for the vintage guys and Marketplace.

Trent you are probably right to some extent, as I know for a fact they actively monitor sites trying to establish a case against those they don't like.
So it's OK for them to stalk people on various sites, but not OK for others to offer an opinion. Trent said:

Some of us went hundee racing. 53 car field for vic state series this weekend at the island. Lots and lots of ex karters in the pits at race car meets these days in various categories.
I think it is as simple as, all those with the passion, have either moved on all together or realise that the powers that be would much rather use a very heavy hand on people for voicing concerns and raising issues than to actually address the problems. To this end, it is not worth being suspended for going against the establishments rhetoric, that all is well and patting them selves on the back while they stuff the karters money into their own pockets or that of their mates.
Sad but true.
Mate the figures available seem to suggest that since 2013 karting has lost 39% of licence holders?
How the hell could you retain a board that has such a despicable record in losing ;customers; as so many like to say? David Arnold said:

A very good question to pose to the state associations (the KA members) that have the power to sack the board.
But again, it would seem that they are under the KA spell (or maybe the MOU) and have been silenced either by bullying or hypnotised into sleep.
Given we know people are not happy (because we actually talk to them), the fact that this has sat here for a week without comment says it all. Neville Scullion said:

Mate I have heard that a number of other clubs in Victoria have also voted in favor of a 'No confidence' motion in KA. I don't know the veracity of the call, but it also suggests that KA are flying each State President in for an 'urgent' meeting?
If it is true, then will it be a genuine attempt, all be it far too late, to right the ship, or just another rhetorical piece of grandstanding telling the 7 in attendance how well they are running everything? David Arnold said:

Its a ghost town... just like the circuits around Aust...
Not a ghost town at Victorian Country Series this year, why?
Vic Country series is simply because, who ever is running the series is putting in a massive effort, providing a well run professional meeting to the liking of the racers, in spite of (not because of) KA. They are doing a great job advertising dn promoting the event with great prizes on offer as well. It was always good series prior to KA anyway, but it has been taken even further in the last few years. Many other Vic series (golden power, junior top gun) as 2 examples have significantly suffered since KA. But most of all it has been the club events that have suffered the most.
Locally the last event I asked about had 10 entries across 6 classes. Get your head around that for a local race meeting, after cancelling 2 of the first 3 meeting for the year I believe. I am not sure what their latest entry numbers were though. Joe Torcasio said:
