I am looking to fit a Ezitune to my Rotax max SNR and was wondering if anyone that has done it might be able to send a photo of the weld in exhaust position. Available information seems to differ slightly.
If you do it then around the bend of the pipe , angled up about 30 degrees from horizontal so the probe/wires point towards the lip of the seat, and into the chamber anywhere from about level with the end of the muffler to 60mm past there.
No-one uses an Ezitune or similar on a Rotax, its a pointless excercise. The unit is an aid to tuning on the run but a Rotax cannot be tuned as you drive. The readings from an Ezitune are not recorded, so there is no data to look back over after a race..

Thanks Ian, my son drives the kart and I am just trying to give him a visual clue to the tuning so we can improve our setup. Noted in another thread that you have a Rotax barrel for sale, would it be suitable for a pre-evo engine and what are the designator letters?

Just download Rotax Jetting App onto your phone and use that. Tuning lights on a Rotax are about as useful as an ashtray on a motorbike.
If you read the rule book.......you may find that fitting any sensor to a Rotax breaches the rules.
