Hey Guys,
Only just got into superkarting last year with my dad (the old man raced a long time ago), we raced the 80 last year but due to a rather unreliable and costly engine and now that the 80 class is gone we decided to move up to the 125GB. But due to the huge cost of an RS125 we had to find an alternative engine. We've bought a YZ125 and have just finished mounting it on our gladiator chassis and doing a complete rebuild. It'll be very interesting to see what it performs like at morgan park when i head down for a practice day in a few wednesdays time. we had a bloke at greenbank make a pipe up for us and were just gonna run it stock for this year and see how we go. Should have heaps of fun and it should be hugely reliable.
just wondering if anyone had any thoughts?
Doug.

Re: Experimental 125GB engine.......
Thanks mate, yer we just decided to run it stock so we could get everything else sorted and get use to the engine characteristics ect. before we port it and all that other stuff. hopefully the bit of extra torque we have over the RS engines will help at morgan park, but yer we don't expect to win just aslong as i'm amongst it with people to race against i'll have fun and that's all i want. When are you coming up here??
Doug.
