get it polished at a metal polisher and then when you go out for your first session the heat will change it to that rainbow color. mines like that and it looks wiked
but does it always stay like that or does it fade away and you need to get it done again
It is bare metal and you will either need to polish it semi-regularly or wipe it over with WD-40 or Inox or something before storing your kart. If you don't do this it will rust.
If you do this regularly then you won't need to get it polished again.

hey mate just go to bunnings werehouse buy a drill bit brush for the end of the drill and spend some time striping the paint off till its silver then after your first session it will turn rainbow thats what i did cheers
Yer liam just go to bunnings and buy a little drill bit brush there like 5 bucks me and karl did it to are karts and they come up looking mad it takes a bit of time to do it but its worth it.
