I'll be loading the roof of my trailer, the whole SZR fleet will be out there.......TZ250, RS250, Stock Honda.
I'm sleep deprived getting all the karts ready after the Wakefield rain wash, plus the RS250 was last out in the wet so that's 3 karts fully rebuilt ready to get some dirty action again.....please no more rain.
Now to work out which kart stays for the Australian Championship and which kart goes to Laguna Seca....... :-\

Re: Eastern Creek Race Meeting - Easter Weekend
5 cylinders are enough, if I had to service 7 cylinders between race meetings, there is no way I could afford all them spark plugs. :D
In all honesty, Trace cleaned her kart and I spent no longer than 1 hour to pull the barrel off and inspect the piston (being a Stock Honda....it was a waste of time as usual) and clear the seat from touching the gear lever. I thought, Where are you going to go gearbox webmaster racing with less than 1 hour work between race meetings to ensure 100% reliability. 8)
Stock Honda is the go, lube the chain, mix the fuel, pump the tyres, good for at least 6 race meetings without any service required. If mechanically I had to look after Trace at the track, the Stock Honda wouldn't be racing when I'm racing. ;)

Re: Eastern Creek Race Meeting - Easter Weekend
Mike I might be wrong but i think you can add chas maddern to that list as well.
[/quote]
Mike,
This is the final list. If there is no Chas Madden in this list, I don't think he is racing. I'd hate for him to drive over from SA and unknowingly not be in the entries list. You might want to check with him.
31 karts, great effort by all who have entered and supporting this race meeting.
I actually got it wrong in my first post. There is 1x Qualify + 2x Races on Friday, and then 3x races on Saturday.
So that is 1x Qualify and 5x races of 14mins on track over 2 days! AWESOME, lots of fuel and oil to burn.
Who's going out Thursday Practice?

Chas has checked with the promoter and his entry has been accepted so make it 32.
Cheers,
Brett

Awesome Brett, that's good that he checked with promotor. Ensure he talks to Wayne Horswell to ensure his transponder number is entered in for the timing people.
So 32 karts.
Thanks to all the SA, VIC and QLD guys in making the trip. Safe travels.
Re: Eastern Creek Race Meeting - Easter Weekend
Lesson learned, I will never be without a kart again !!!
I'm angry, jelous and envious of you all at the moment..
Goodluck to all for a safe meet :)

THURSDAY PRACTICE
If you still haven't decided or think that maybe now you will do so;
Just turn up on Thursday for practice, unload at your allocated pit spot (if you purchased one) then go to the base of the tower and pay/sign on for the Thursday Practice Fee. I understand Thursday Practice is $120
There is no sign on at the normal place near the medical centre for Eastern Creek Practice days, you sign on for practice day at the base of the tower.

Re: Eastern Creek Race Meeting - Easter Weekend
Is that with the TZ or RS Kart ?
What's the go with all the DNF and EXC in second last race ?
Re: Eastern Creek Race Meeting - Easter Weekend
I won the last race starting from the back of the grid. ;D
Don't worry, this kart is my Laguna Seca kart so you can rest easy for the Nationals. ;)
Thanks to Brian Stockman for his genuis work on the areo kit.
Re: Eastern Creek Race Meeting - Easter Weekend
Came in on the scales at 213kgs, that's why the excusion.....the race was a timed race which end up running for 10 laps and I used more fuel than expected, hence the 2kgs under.

Re: Eastern Creek Race Meeting - Easter Weekend
Had enough of that so I pulled into the pits. It wasn't worth the risk when doing 220kph flat out in T1 with 1 hand on the steering wheel. :o
Tyres were Bridgestone YLH.
Should make for a good kart well suited for the upcoming Laguna Seca event.
Yes Brett Prudie from SA took first place overall. Good on him it was well deserved!
Chas Madden 3rd overall, so SA took home 1 and 3.
Re: Eastern Creek Race Meeting - Easter Weekend
I understand she is looking forward to Phillip Island club event the next time we make the trip.

And to think I'll need to push him? ...........
:D

So what sort of pusher are you Rolf?
Re: Eastern Creek Race Meeting - Easter Weekend
Thanks to everyone for their support and advice across the three days at the creek (I did practice on Thursday as well as the two race days).
I was so nervous about getting my PSK that I didn't sleep until last night and my hands were shaking before each race ???!
Special credit to my push crew - Paul Degan, Daniel Tamasi, my neighbour Dave Becker (who didn't know an invite to a webmaster meet = pushing) and anyone else who helped.
Of course I want to thank to Sam for his support and for preparing my kart :-* :-*.
Now I have to master braking later into the corners ;)!
Re: Eastern Creek Race Meeting - Easter Weekend
Re: Eastern Creek Race Meeting - Easter Weekend
Come down to the island, you don't need brakes there much
;)
Re: Eastern Creek Race Meeting - Easter Weekend

Re: Eastern Creek Race Meeting - Easter Weekend
Mark demonstrates that consistancy and great preparation can make Stock Honda competitive with the open 125's.
And he is a genuine competitor ensuring that he made the 180kg weight limit with a hole lotta lead bolted onto his kart!
Secondly I'd like to acknowledge the outstanding work of our President Wayne and Treasurer Shauna in making this event run as smooth as possible for us competitors - kart numbers, dorians, competitor listings all provided to the promoter before the event plus arranging the trophies (not provided by the promoter as we were racing for the "fun-of-it" as he declared at drivers briefing).
Then all the logisitics during the event which was a double-whammy for Shauna who ended up dealing with a lot of the organisational (or should that be disorganisational) c-r-a-p behind the scenes over the two race days.
We really appreciate all you efforts and the tolerance you displayed (even through gritted teeth) ;).
Re: Eastern Creek Race Meeting - Easter Weekend
Both Ant and I had a sucessfull day, for me after sorting out a few issues, brakes pulling hard to left and tuning as running far too rich on the settings as provided on the "NEW" Nat. 250 webmaster just purchased a week ago.
Stockman MR2 / TZ still for sale as buyer has not sold a car to raise the funds.
Many thanks again Tracy. ;)
