over the weekend there was and incident where a driver got DQ due to penalty (loss of points for heat) but that drivers finishing position in the race still determined his spot in the final. How does that work? if you get DQ for what ever reason due to racing insidint (loss of points for heat was offical call) there for shouldnt that affect your starting position for final?
p.s Im not trying to protest call of official through kartbook or undermine or (cyberbully) and do not wish for a pink slip in the mail, im only wanting clarification on the rule. sorry for any confusion as struggled to put in words what i was trying to say.
thanks Caleb.

His DQ should reflect a points of a DNF and then when added to his other efforts in other heats then goes towards his grid possy for the final. if it didn't happen it maybe an admin error on the race secretary part or stewards for failing to pass on the result etc?
i thought so thanks Paul
Maybe it would depend on how the sup regs were written - ie points calculation and gridding etc...
By that I mean - if the finishing position of the prefinal is the starting position of the final - then yes he should have been to the rear of the field however, if final starting positions were from a points calculation, ( ie all points count) then he may have been in his correct position. ??
Would need to have a look at the sup regs ( do you have them??) and a quick CMS search.

hey Dave thanks for response, it was points from heat 1 and 2 determine the grid for the final and this drivers grid positioning for the final was as if he had all his points from heat 1 and 2, the DQ didint come into account in his starting position for final. Must of been an error of some sort.
Ok, then sounds like a mistake...

yep to bad we couldn't find a steward to ask on the day especially when the race is about to start and the grid marshal couldn't do anything about it !
Grid Marshal should have been able to hold the race as it was under their control.

we are always wise in hindsight, but the grid marshal could have at least tracked a steward down via radio or at least the tower could be asked for verifiction etc but agai hidsight is 20/20Caleb Citrine said:

Where was the Clerk of Course....in the dunny???
That is his job.
What happened was wrong full stop.
There were 4 stewards on the track except when in hearings or maybe in the dunny, did not know we were not allowed to have a shit, must remember to stay conctapated for the day, not eat or drink stand in the cold or heat get wet or burnt while the drivers stand under their tents in shade or out of the rain.
All the competitor had to do was ask for a steward, one would have been there, but hey it is the stewards fault.
Amazing the people in this forum must be perfect!
Also amazing how no one asks the clubs what happend, they get on these forums ask a question then everyone bags the stewards whom volenteer their time, but that is ok. Then when there is not enough stewards they wonder why.
From the C of C who now needs an enama as he was not allowed to go to the toilet according to Allan.
i wasnt having or trying to have ago at any one sorry if it sounds like that Adam i completely understand that stewards are human and not machines. Adam the stewards and ,marshals do a great job and i dont have a problem with them and im thankful for the time they put in to make the meets run. i just wanted clarification of what i thought what was supposed to be happened. This didn't even happen to me wasn't even in my race. and Adam the club was going to be asked. I apologies as i didnt mean for this to become a steward bashing.
Adam,
Thanks I'll take that on board.
But, yes, if a decision to impose a penalty is wrong, then it IS the stewards fault.
Make sure there's plenty of paper :-).....having to wait so long and everything!
