Hi all, got a question about chain tension. What should it be? I've read from the DID site that it should be 3/4" but I notice that most Stock Honda chains are alot loser than that. Mine is over 1 1/2" as delivered with a 19T front and 22T rear.
Any opinions on a number to aim for is greatly appreciated.

Not to keen on rocking the boat nor ignoring the advice of an experienced member but please allow me to ask another question in the attempt that I may gain some knowledge on a subject I know nothing about:
Is their any disadvantage to a chain tension on a stock Honda with a 19/22 or 19/23 sprockets that measures between 10 - 20mm? And what about the extreme case in the other direction?
Sam, most humbly this is in no way an attempt to get into a bash on chain tensions, I just would like to know a little more about it. I was told when I first started this sport no less than 1 month ago to ask lots of questions.

Sam is correct again
On a twin we run slightly less than that but this is because if it stretches during a race the bottom of the chain can rub on the chassis.
Re: Chain tension?
1&1/2 inches or there abouts is fine.

I have never measured it, all done by eye. I just grab my chain and yank it up and down till it get the stiffness I desire. Tighten the engine mount and recheck.
