Re: Bound for Australia
Mr Eagle eyes!!
What was the water temp and rear EGT????? or was the gauge off?????
And who is the engine box in front of the storeroom door from? and
What's the part number of the Honda box next to my multi-meter with the dangling leads?
Of course you noticed that it is left-hand hand clutch and right-hand gearchange, so you can slot right in (apart from you couldn't reach the pedals :D :D :D
You might be talking to this guy in the future about det counters and flashing lights ;)
As for just PVL . . . . .yes it has PVL ignition fitted.
Best Regards
Ian :)

Ian,
I know your multimeter leads are dangling cause they got a good work out on the weekend when you were putting this wiring loom together. Looks like your got det counters, servo motor, TPS, powerjets, can bus and all sorts of shit already going on in there!
What's the password to start the engine?

Ant, are you sure you dont need a border? I'm really good at cleaning karts and I can cook too ;D.
I wonder which state this kart is going too??
Looks like the twin class has more and more people willing to spend money on good gear.

F***k me Sammy, Your just not well!!!!! ::)
And the 2011 award for lights, wires and switches goes to Mr. Sam Zavaglia.
Oh, and I believe it will be racing, but not till next year.
As for Marty . . . . . . . . That's another story ;)
Best Regards
Ian :)
p.s. I have 2007 and 2011 Anderson Maverick Hondas for sale and may be persuaded to sell our other Anderson BRC, plus 3 x 2011 Team CR250 motors for sale. Also I believe that Marty will now be selling his CR250 motor 8)

Ian.
We already knew Sammy was a sick vegemite but thanks for the confirmation. As for the award. He has spent too much time in the USA and needs all the lights to see beyond the glitz and glamour.
Re: Bound for Australia
Well the cats out of the bag now 8)
"The Hoss" might be a good pilot if Scott hasn't pulled his finger out.
I also know a little Irish Leprechaun who can "peddle a Superkart" He's just short of the bus fare ::) ::)
Seriously though, I know that you'll enjoy it. That's a real nice Superkart package.
Best Regards
Ian :)
Re: Bound for Australia
It's mine :) :) :) My first twin and I can't wait for it to arrive. Just need to find some time to actually get it on the track and have some fun.
I'll only be using it once or twice a year on a practice day to get my fix though I will have it available to run at next years Nationals if any one can is interested in racing it for me :)
Cheers

So you are Merton....I wondered about that
Re: Bound for Australia
Finally someone gives me "Merton" as the correct password to start this ignition.
You can watch it here in MPG format. (5.5Mb file)

Re: Bound for Australia
You should put some prices on those karts 2007 and 2011 anderson cr250s for sale you never know who might be tempted to get one off you. ;D
Re: Bound for Australia
I guess the price depends if you want it installed with the good options, fast options or the fastest options for each of the motors available on each chassis ;)
eg, Your can buy my TZ250 from 20K to 40K, depends on which spares, how many of each spare, which go fast bits you want fitted, which datalogger is fitted.
If its fitted with the features of the pink wire and push button switch, it's on the upper end of the scale. ;D
Re: Bound for Australia
2007 - £4,900 + shipping
2011 - £6,900 + shipping (a new rolling chassis to this spec would be $6K!!!)
Anderson BRC - £12K plus shipping
Honda engines are top spec 2011 team motors with all the whistles and bells. Both ex-James O'Reilly (2nd MSA British Superkart Championship 2011).
BRC is our famous "SCAR" motor and winner of Most (Czech Republic) CIK-FIA Euroean Championship round.
Best Regards
Ian :)
Re: Bound for Australia
Re: Bound for Australia
Buy the Anderson/BRC ;)
Re: Bound for Australia
but I just moved out of twins earlier this year
See how the National goes at PI since the recent mods.
Re: Bound for Australia
I was thinking more like the 2011 with CR250.
Wait to you see how my current CR FLIES at PI.
I haven't told you yet of all the upgrades.
Including the driver as I have been away this week receiving a overhaul too,
but my phone has been running hot ordering new parts.
From what I have spent since EC where the bearings spun, replaced the cases, and numerous parts,
now upgrades I could have paid for a new Viper engine.
Re: Bound for Australia
Re: Bound for Australia
It's still not a Viper engine,
but as I was passed down the straight at EC by 125's
I had to make some improvements, as this is most likely the last year I'll do the Nationals,
so I don't want all the breakdowns ??? and poor performance ??? this time at the Island.
Re: Bound for Australia
2nd thought Ant, YEAH also tempting, but, I don't think you need the competition from an old fart ? ? ? ;D

C'mon Phil,
Ant told me he can hear your TV blasting from his place.
You've been "Sweating to the Oldies" with Richard Simmons, haven't you. ;)

Dont mess with the ZOHAN !!!
Re: Bound for Australia
as once you're in they keep you in "you can never leave" !!! :-\
But I escaped and still sweating it out on the treadmill,
keeping the ol' body fit for Phillip Island
as I put more than a few kilo's on since EC.
At EC kart & driver was on or under the weight limit 205kg,
I've added 1kg lead weight and with a bit overweight driver at
Morgan Park a few weeks ago weighed in at 213kg with almost empty fuel tank.
But Sam and the twins plus most leading Nationals have nothing to worry about.
I have unfinished business at P.I. since years ago broke a gearbox in the Zip/Honda National
on Saturday with no spare, so missed out on all the racing on Sunday.
Last year taken out by one of our own Qld'ers who lost his brakes into MG corner 1st lap in the dry.
At P.I. this year, I just hope for a reliable kart, with a bit more performance
the intention being not to be last National, but further up the field. ;D

Just checked my rule book, 250 Nats are 185kgs, kart and driver.
Back to the Richard Simmons school of "Slimmions" for you Phil. :D

Then Ian has a couple of Maverick Honds's 2007 & 2011 for sale.
Anyone interested in either of Ian's karts ? :)
Re: Bound for Australia
Guess who picking up 2nd trophy after moving to NSW from Qld.
Usually 1st at Lakeside in the Zip/Honda National those days.
More competition then in NSW.

Re: Bound for Australia
Thanks for your kind words and I'm glad that the transport God's kind-of ;) kept a watch over your kart on it's journey.
However, when Ant's comes across, it will be plastered with "This way up" stickers.
Good luck with your new toy, hopefully you will have plenty of fun and success. Don't wear it out too soon!!
It's in the plan to get over next year, economy dependant :'(
Best Regards
Ian :)
