I noticed in new zealand they run a 250 nat on a sprint chassis is that seperate to superkarting or are they racing all together on big tracks. Just thought i would ask as there seems to be a few of them. ???
I've seen a couple run in America, my impressions were the engines are just too bulky for the sprint chassis. I'd imagine the vibration doesn't do them much good either, even the webmaster chassis don't have much joy with them.
Hi mike and mike, yes they run 250 nat on sprint kart chassis on sprint track and long circuit. They also have a lower MAW than a webmaster. They are great under brakes and have very good corner speed. New Zealand also run sprint and long circuit under the one organization being the New Zealand Karting Federation and the local club who has there own sprint track, hires the nearest long track and then runs the event. There is no insurance worries over there though as they have a thing called ACC which is a nation wide insurance so no matter what a person is doing, anywhere in the country, there wages are still paid at 80% of what was earned over the 3 weeks prior to an incident. ACC is funded by employers and a levy on motor vehicle registration.
I'm sure one of the guys will correct my statements if any of it is no longer the case.

Well Paul over here they have a levy on each states car rego which in Vic goes to the TAC. This only covers you in a motor vehicle accident though and your employer pays a levy for "workers comp" which only pays you if an incident happens from the time you go to work and get home. Any other incident meaning you can't work means you have to try and sue someone to claim your wages.
Don't knock ACC, it is a great scheme. Crime would be much higher without it :)
I'm sure you are one of the lucky ones with "high risk" so your levies cost a small fortune. Never mind, that is why orange vests were invented, they have a force field around them which keeps you safe and takes away all responsibility from the Muppet wearing it as long as he walks on the yellow line. Let’s not forget the hard hat! That will protect you from an explosion and something falling on your foot too!
