Jason Hrynuik's monster flip at the end of the straight at Bolivar (see Wall-E's photos).
Justin Schneider's sickening crunch with Matty Hayes at Geelong (3 people in hospital),
Jesse Batson hitting the wall head first after using Ben Lincoln as a ramp entering the double right at Todd Road.
And the number one crash of all time was City of Melbourne, 2004, Clubman Light final when 3 karts (out of a grid of at least 30) came out of the first corner on the SECOND lap, after the entire field went too deep on a slippery, greasy track and absolutely FILLED the kitty litter. Kevin Millard left a helmet shaped dent in the fence that can be seen to this day... good times...
worst ive seen:
LL at 2006 val findlay.
Schneider ran wide and got spun around, then got hit at full speed by Matt Hayes.
worst ive been in:
JC at 2007 nationals, heat 2.
Tried to put a move on into the carousell, my right rear caught his left rear. i launched into the air, and landed on my right wheels, gripped up and flipped a couple times.
Broke my collarbone, and cracked the ball of my humourous.
helmet, race suit, spark plug, steering wheel, steering column, axle.
and all my own fault :o

My worst crash was at Newcastle City Cup in 2006,when i hit Joseph Mawson head on going up the main straight and flipped it over the top of him.
the worst seen with my own eyes would have to be rodney baker at the recent brian farley memorial, he used the reverse parked dan holihan as a ramp to launch himself through the air then to nose dive, flip out of the kart whilst the kart still managed to jump a few times about 1-2 metres
the wreckage wasnt even recogniseable of a go kart
Rotax World Finals - Italy - Heat 1
Heading to the first corner in my race, damp track with slicks on, i got punted off heading down the straight which saved me from the huge crash at the first corner, at least 3 quarters of the field got caught up in it and 2 rolled end for end which stuffed their karts so they either had to buy a whole new chassis or stop racing for the whole weekend. Lucky enough that crazy frenchman who hit me off saved my weekend :p because i got through it!! lol
Schneider and Hayes Geelong was huge. Sounded like to trucks crashing. Both drivers very very lucky.
One in Hospital with some nasty internal injuries. The other went on to win his heat of clubby light. about an hour later.
J Baxter's crash at Pucka wasn't bad as well. Again very lucky to get away un hurt.
But the best crash of all was Colin Finks truck being used in a ram raid on a tiolet tissue factory.
Terry Cobb said:Deepal Kandola at the 2005 sa states, in leopard light i think when his brakes failed at the end of the straight, used someone as a ramp and while he ended up between the fence and tyre barrier his kart went over and onto someones car (apparently).Me, Junior Clubman at ipswich for some qualifier for overseas in 04 i think, full field of karts and it rained on the breaking line at the end of the main straight on first or second lap, a few fliped and bent but only about 6 out of the 40 karts got around, not including myself :(.
The Two worst I have seen were Kandola's crash at the 2005 SA Open. Unfortunatly it was my son he hit & used as a launch pad ,(Not Reif Corbett), very frightening.
The other was Jorden Dickens at the 2006 SA Open at Mt Gambier. He clipped a kart he was overtaking and flipped his kart end over end 4-5 times. Fortunatly he got thrown clear & was ok same cant be said for his kart though.
back at the 08 nationals, it was the third lap of the final when i lost my chain going around the back hair pin i slowed only for sean butcher to come around and launch off my right rear wheel and land on his head.
thats what i was told but all i saw was a kart fly through the air in the corner of my visor
i quickly got out and thankfully he was ok just a bit shaken up
July 2007 - Gladstone
I once started from p5 at Gladstone and went around the outside of a few momantarly hitting the lead, to just put a wheel off and drift off into the chip bark. causing the front to dig in and kartwheel the go kart 5 times, (doing 110kmh helps) and fell out of the kart on the chipbark, the kart landed on its wheels... still running... and i felt ok,,,, so i jumped back in and kept going. I managed to pass 6 karts and finish the race in 5th. I was stoked. not a single thing bent (Top Monaco Quality) Only for the official to see me on the ingrid and DNF me.... Pretty funny really.
Worst i'v seen... so many.. and no one likes seeing another karter on the sidelines.
I have been put into the fence many times at Oakleighs 'Arrow Sweeper' as said in a post b4 it is a bit rough but fun. BTW - if you can avoid being put into the fence avoid it because it hurts becuase there is a whole lotta fence ;)
I reckon Garry Jacobson running into the lapped kart while in p1 at GKCV in they City of Melbourne Titles 08 Junior Clubman was pretty harsh, I was standing up on that hill and he sat in the kart which seemed like ages but wasnt, he was probably going WTF just happened... and later that race all the karts going up the enbankment along the main straight after a crash.
