As some of you may already know there is a big event being held by the USKGP at VIR (Virginia International Raceway) in December.
The event has already attracted big name drivers, including Australias own Sam Zavaglia. With total prize money of $27,000US its little wonder that drivers like former World Champion and NASCAR driver Lake Speed are turning up.
More info on the event can be found in this USKGP announcement

The rest of the prize money is for the other classes, and if I'm not wrong the $27,000 total is still growing.
On top of that I'm promised free beer for myself and the crew and there are also skimpy grid girls and other entertainment. The accomadation is on site at VIR so the social respect of this meeting will be second to none.
At 6.75klms a lap, that's longer than Bathurst, you need a navigation device to find yourself around the track. Practice all day Friday, Practice sessions on Sat and Sun with a 45min race for the F125, and 2x30min races in the 250. That's a lot of fuel and oil to burn......
You can watch 2 laps here at this YouTube link.

On top of the racing, we are also doing some High Performance parts shopping, visiting Elvis at Gracelands, a full weekend in Vegas and a 2 day walking trek to the bottom of the Grand Canyon and back.

At this stage, a handful of very big names from Europe are planning on crossing the Atlantic to race.
I'm also told that Memo Gidley will also be racing a Formula E.

All this hype and it's still 6 months away....the intrest for this event just keeps growing. This is plenty of time for the travellers to plan so there is no excuses for non attendance. I better not say too much just yet, an official press release from the promotor soon.
