I just talked to an SKA director and he told me that as far as he knows we are on at QR. He will confirm this and get back to me with a confirmation and I will put something back on here.
If you click on the Queensland Raceway Circuit diagram on the website that Sam has listed (last of the three) it shows that Superkarts are on the program. SKA are revamping their website so it is easier to use and understand and all the information we are looking for will be posted shortly. This was confirmed by Phil Silcock last Saturday, he also confirmed that we are on at QR.

Gotta be a typo somewhere.
In the latast release, as compared to the "Shannons" website, the "Manufacturers Cup" has a double spot and Superkarts are gone.
I think us Superkarters will get squeezed out of the Shannon's series eventually, possibly next year, they have just undertaken 2 more classes with GT Chanpionship and Touring Car Masters ...
I hope not but I'd say we will get the cut from that series in the not to distant future ...
I'd say the promotors would rather the entry fees from 30+ karts as opposed to 12-15 GTs.
Each catergory manager pays the Shannon's promotor an agreed set price for each round, then each catergory manager works out what entry fee to charge it's own competitors.
I bet the Shannon's promotor actually receives much more money from 12-15 GT's entered than they do from 60 Superkarts entered.
This is a confirmation from the director of the SKA that QR round is on for superkarts. I know it has already been confirmed by Phil Silcock but here it is again.
Thanks for bringing this issue to our attention.
Seems that a simple typo on the part of someone outside Shannons and SKA has created some confusion.
Rest assured that the second round will be in Queensland at QR in August as previously announced.
If for any reason anything was to change with any SKA matter then our website will have the up to date information.
All the best and see you at Phillip Island.

6 of the 7 categories listed in the latest press release have their website calendars listed as confirmed. The other category does not have a 2012 calendar up but Scotty could find out of The Hoss about that.
Just after some honesty here as people are making commitments both in Australia and Overseas based on the information that was put out months ago. Be a real shame if their commitments clashed with any changed dates and they missed going for the title or sacrificed the money spent on an overseas campaign to get a chance at a title.
Are you still talking cook................Phillip Island and Queensland raceway is it.
Yes I am.
So from what everyone here is saying, if SKA put out their non-refundable pre-entry today with their "provisional" dates (that's in the last mention on their website) that everyone would throw in their hard earned dollars.
It only requires a press release from Shannons Nationals with Superkarts listed at Queensland Raceway and admitting a supposed typo somewhere and I will shut up about it.
6 of the 7 categories listed in the latest press release have their website calendars listed as confirmed.
Very good point there Cookster. At least 6 catergoies have their own calenders out racing QLD Raceway. So either Sports Sedans are also racing + Superkarts or just Superkarts?? Either way I sence a major sh*t fight again. Best outcome would be no Sports Sedans, add Superkarts so that's 7 catergories 2 with "double time". That schedule equal 9 catergories over 2 days racing. Like f**k they have allowed for loss of time in delays within the schedule......some if not all catergories are going to get shafted.....TIME AND TIME AGAIN....(ohh but it's not the promotor's fault the track delays)...BULLSHIT......reasonable allowance should be made within the schedule......it happens ALL THE TIME!
I sense a lot of sh*t here.....maybe we should be looking elsewhere and run our Championship differently in 2013 and beyond.....and before anybody has a go at me, read carefully and understand where my concerns are.

Not entering into that one Sammy.
Just wanting to know where the rounds are for Superkarts this year. No-one answers any queries from me so an open forum might get some responses that actually match with what is being published around the internet.
I have seen too many promises made and then broken, documents written and not followed to believe what is relayed from a telephone call or copied and pasted off an email.

I totally agree with you Sam and Cookie, having even 1 of our 8 races scratched can change a Championship result. Last year was bullsh&t. The schedule was behind already because of the cup car that went into the wall on Sat yet we dropped a race when we had an race incident.
Some people are happy to go with the flow and let things happen to them but thank goodness the 2 of you aren't like that. I called Hoss and he can't get any info to date either.
